Etzel Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) This MOC started with me wanting to try out the technique with SNOTed tiles as stone bricks in a house. After I had done that the half finished house stood on my desk for a couple of weeks before I got new inspiration and added a wall and a well. It's a MOC solely built for my own pleasure, which isn't very good since I really should have been sorting my pieces instead But I hope you guys and girls like it too: Thanks for watching! /Etzel Edited May 22, 2011 by Rufus Indexed Quote
CptMugwash Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 What a delightful little setting, very nice stone work on the house I especially like the tall conifer and the well and cobblestones are nice too I keep seeing all these kind of medievil mocs and it just makes me want to buy the MMV Quote
TheHiddenKing Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 The house I like, especially the stone walls. The floor can be improved, I also used this technique. You can see the result on my flickr page. Well I think the coverage is not adequate, you could build a "tent". The complex is very nice :) Quote
SirSven7 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Nice Moc Love the trees and the well especially. Also love the dedication to the Faclons. Well Done Quote
Bingo Little Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Of course, in really ordinary medieval times, one wouldn't really see ANY soldiers... Love the building, though, and nice touches on the minifigures, giving the old black falcons (who I tend to use as torsos for falconers and people running the mews) lovely new dark pearl armour. ziljin Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Wow that is just incredible. The Black Falcons look great with the newer helmets. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I really do like it and the dark green fir is very interesting and well-built! Maybe there could be some more plants on the dark green grass, but it's really looking very nice! The SNOT tile technique on the house works quite well. And yes, the classic Black Falcons really look great with the new pearl dark grey helmet (awesome colour for weapons). Quote
Niku Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Besides its a great MOC I love the look of the falcons with the gear of Dragons, nicely done. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Very well done MOC Etzel! I think you really did a good job with the SNOTed stone brick wall of the house, as well as the surrounding elements like the well and rough pavements. Overall, a very pleasing build to look at, so great job! Quote
Bricktrain Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I like this, especially the tree with the bird on top, so simple yet so effective Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 This is abeautiful MOC! It looks just like the real thing and is highly detailed ...I like the street signs! I would like to live protected by that wall Quote
Gareth Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 This is a good MOC. Yes the Black Falcons do look a lot better with the newer helmets, I also like the way you've created the conifer tree. Is that a Sith lord talking to the woman? Great MOC though keep up the good work. Quote
streifen Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 the well & the flooring outside the house looks great!! Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) Wait.. Is that a Darth Vader over there, talking to that lady? nice MOC Etzel! I loke how you made the trees and the road sing is also well done. I loke the wall and the stairs, but the wood flooring isnt fitting over there IMO. But its a still nice MOC, im sure Black Falchons like their new helmets. Captain Becker EDIT:Spelling errors. Edited March 17, 2011 by Captain Becker Quote
brickmack Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Very cool. Lot's of nice work on the rocks at the bottom of the house, and the well and everything Wait.. It looks like it's just a random person wearing a cloak with the hood up. Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) It looks like it's just a random person wearing a cloak with the hood up. I know, it just popped into my mind first when i first saw him. I meant it to be a small joke Captain Becker Edited March 23, 2011 by Captain Becker Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Awesome MOC, I especially love the pine trees with that lovely dark green. Quote
Etzel Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Thanks for all the comments, I'm happy you liked it! The black hooded minifig is just another woman talking to her friend, but who knows, maybe she has been trained by the dark side of the force The wooden flooring around the well is there because otherwise it would've been very muddy with all the people coming to get water and spilling some of it. And it's also there because I didn't have enough 1x1 round plates to cover the entire square And yeah, I'm a fan of the new dark metal helmets and weapons too. Looks great on the classical castle factions. Quote
