9v Controller Voltage Levels

Recommended Posts

Has anyone measured and published the output voltage for the fixed output levels on the 9v transformer?

The fixed output levels? I'm not sure what you mean. The intervals between 0V and 9V? Well... you can open the regulator, use a multimeter and reassemble it again (it is easy to do without damaging the regulator).

Do you mean loaded (closed circuit) or unloaded (open circuit) ?

If the controller doesn't use a semi-conductor regulator, the voltage would vary depending on the load on it.

Keep on track ! :sweet:

You can measure it on the tracks with a standard meter.

It ia about 1.5V voltage step / click on the controller (4548).

Meaning 0 - 1.5V - 3.0V - 4.5V - 6.0V - 7.5V - 9.0V.

With more than one motor on track it is slightly lower.

That's not correct. The lowest setting is about 3 volts, and after that it goes up about 1.2 volts

per step.
