Inspired by the Winter Village Bakery Set I decided to make my own version, but without any of the winter festivities:

The front as an angry lady leaves, and a beggar sits waiting to earn enough to eat for the day...

You can buy any type of bread here, as long as you ask for croissants. The bakers cat always knows the warmest place!

Great job! This SNOT floor effect is awesome! The cat on top of the oven is great...my own cats always manage to seek out the warmest place in the house.

I may have to build something like this soon, will go nicely with the mmv im getting this coming weekend.Great build fella!

Have to ask why the lady leaving is angry however,if i could find a croissant as big as that i'd be made up

Thanks for all the positive comments, they are all appreciated!

Very nice! I love the SNOT and the overall smoothness of the design. Perhaps add some baguettes to bake?

I had originally planned to get some of the baguette pieces to use for this, until I found out how much they were on BrickLink! Hopefully they will soon start to be more plentiful as they are now back in two current sets.

...

And your 'knife holder' is simple but very clever.

Good job

Amazing job on the knife block!!!

That is really inspiring...

The knife block was not my idea, I think I saw it in a .pdf of furniture ideas from Classic Castle. I totally agree that it is just a brilliant, simple and effective design.

You are sure to have great fun with that, it is truly a wonderful set, the best money you have ever spent on Lego! As for the angry lady, I just love that facial expression!

I simply love how this bakery looks so clean and nicely-built, far different from other decorated medieval MOCs I've seen but it still looks very beautiful in its simplicity. The interior details are just great! Fantastic work mikey! default_thumbup.gif

Looks great to me! Perhaps the tile work on the floor is a bit too 'clean' for the middle ages. Some other colours would be rather nice.

The roof is great and you've paid attention to the details, which is always good.

The cat on the bread oven made me me laugh; it's just like he is ready to be baked into a cake as well.

Yeah, the floor does look a bit to clean, I did try mixing in some 1x1 studs but they looked a bit out of place. Maybe I should get some more Dark Bley tiles, and use them randomly to break up the colour of the floor a bit. And of course, no cats were harmed during the making of this MOC!

Some reddish brown or white 1x1 tiles would work well among the grey and dark bley. :classic:

Have a try, it will turn out being awesome for sure!

I hadn't even considered using other colours, because I was representing stone I thought only the Bley's would fit. But I will definitely give some other colours a try next time (this has now died and is all nicely sorted!), I am thinking about a poor peasant house next and I really want a decayed and ruined feeling to it. cheers!
