Delta 38 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) Just a modification to the jeep thing in the Toy Story army car. This is based off an image Milargo posted in the Ninjago topic here. I thought it was interesting and decided to make it for myself, though I'll probably dismantle it in a few days, because I'm not really a MOCer. Because of that, I also don't have much to work with so I just got random parts from sets. Note: the photos here have been Photoshopped to increase brightness and sharpness. The colours have probably been slightly modified as well. This is the inspiration picture: The MOC/mod: Front view. Top view. Yes, the "seat" is a bit strange. It can be angled. Note: there are three images which I can't seem to upload, showing the back and the side view, with an additional picture. I'll update this post with the images once I get them to work. Comments welcome, though bear in mind that it took a whole morning just to find the pieces. Oh noes, images still not uploading. I'll update once they do. Edited October 23, 2010 by Delta 38 Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Hm...That's most interesting. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Great work any ways. Quote
JackRaines Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Nice, but this doesn't exactly count as NINJAGO kinda more like a 'MOC for fun!'type thing, and I hope you found those sets lukes land speeder is around here and I am an Aussie. Quote
user Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Yeah! I'm glad that someone read my post! It actually looks pretty good but the handlebars could use some work. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Very nice brickbuild version of the toy buggy in the ref. pic, good improvisation using the TS Army Men Patrol Car. Quote

Yeah, but it was based off "concepts" courtesy of Milargo. I still haven't found the set, by the way. Yeah! I'm glad that someone read my post! It actually looks pretty good but the handlebars could use some work. There are a few things I'd improve next time, mainly the shape. The handlebars were last-minute. Very nice brickbuild version of the toy buggy in the ref. pic, good improvisation using the TS Army Men Patrol Car. Improvisation is right. Edited October 23, 2010 by Delta 38 Quote
JackRaines Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Maybe this will help my Location is Rockhampton queensland look in BIG W at Stockland Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 You could imagine it following after the chopper... With the big dozy headed skeleton in control! Totally BlockBlock! Quote
Milargo Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Wunderbar! Never thought anyone could get this close on minifig scale. If the orange toward the front came down a bit lower I would think that'd improve the flow, and possibly pistols for the handle bars. Liking the angled seat, looks like the real thing. Und fabelhaft job getting this close to the NinjaGo "set" by modifying a Toy Story army patrol car, Totally Ninja! Here's to hoping there are more pictures, I'll be keeping an eye out for em'. Quote

Well, I'm not around that area, but thanks anyway. Thanks for the comments. I still can't upload the rest of the pictures, for some reason. Quote
