Legostein Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Hello everybody, today is again time for soem various science fiction models which I also enjoy building. The two models of today are from two less popular movies, but some of you might have seen them. -------------------- First model for today is the Gunstar (reference image) from the movie "The Last Starfighter" from 1984. The ship is very compact with a double-seat cockpit and crescent-shaped engine attached to the sides. I thought the best way to get the crescent sided was using offset plates, and thus the model itself is pretty tiny, unfortunately. The engine/wings are half-circles making them difficult to design. The version presented here may appear a bit bulky, I am sorry for that. See you around! ~ Christopher Quote
prateek Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Nice! You really nailed the curves of the real ships Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Nice mini models. First, I like the fact that you now have the reference links. The design of those ships are interesting to create in mini-scale, and you manage to pull-off them seamlessly. I like the Gunstar one better, clever use of the 1x4 modified plate/piece. Quote
thire5 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Nice models! I love Galaxy Quest and your mini Protector looks great. Quote
