The Yellow Brick Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) More Pictures on the Third page Here is my latest MOC The Winter Train station. Update: I have now added a red Light brick, for the Fire place. Edited November 1, 2010 by The Red Brick Quote
roamingstop Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I would add an off-white line of tiles and studs at the end of the platform - to symbolise piles of snow. Typically during snows, our platforms will be clear (along the train track) but edges could have anywhere between 10-50cm of piled snow. Otherwise really nice... just in time for a Santa Delivery as he stocks up on bread before travelling... Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 That is a very nice little station. I like the colors, especially the reddish brown / dark tan striping. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 AWESOME little mountain station you have there 'The Red Brick' - very sweet looking indeed - very beleivable too ! A fire place to help warm those cold people waiting on the platform.....excellent building and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
LegoFreak5 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 duh. You should add a poll! Still, Nice MOC! Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 That's a great Winter MOC. The Red Brick! I really it! It looks really like a train station placed in the Winter Village! Only some suggestions for improvement: 1. There have to be some lights outside on the platform, too. 2. The red flowers don't fit that perfectly since it's winter. I'd replace them buy two benchs. 3. There has to be a possibility that the passengers can wait inside the station, too. I'd add a bench or two seats in the interior (e. g. on the left side next to the chinmey). 4. The golden tumblers don't fit that perfectly. I'd either replace them by beverage cans or I'd add two taps. 5. A timetable is missing. If you would add/change these things it would be the perfect addition to 10199 and 10216! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote

Klaus-Dieter Thank you for those awesome suggestions, at the moment I have done 1 ,2, 3, 4, I'll try and make a small time table to place on the wall outside . Quote
Legoist Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 That's a great MOC! I love seeing some MOC for once that isn't as big as a modular. Plus, I nearly had a heart-attack seeing this... This station with its tan & dark red colour and the snow-covered roof is just the same (except smaller) as the place where me (brown-haired with glasses) & wife (blond with ponytail) had our first kiss!! Now I only need to figure out... who's that redhair impostor in the back stalking her? Quote
EpicXDFail Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Great MOC! Love the color pattern on the outside wall, and it's nice that the fireplace has a light brick :) And good job on the roof :D Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Nicely done The Red Brick, the use of white plates does make the roof look snow-covered, but I agree that the platform should have some splashes of snow (white plates and tiles). Quote
prateek Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Nice start, but I would add some decorations to make it more Wintery. Maybe some string lights to line the roof? Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Here's a quick update: The Light Brick The Bar Our nice little passanger enjoying hot Chocolate next to the fire] Looks like his wife has come to join him. Wait who's that Looks like those Cheap Plastic Minifigs arn't so bad after all. Edited September 3, 2010 by The Red Brick Quote

The Yellow Brick Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) I've tried to extend the platform, But it didn't look very good Edited September 5, 2010 by The Red Brick Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Okay I've Updated it alot more, so here are some Pictures I've added some decorations above the windows and added some splashes of Ice/Slush on the platform A close up of the front Used the Golden Mini Mini figure above the fire place That's better, Now we've got the fire roaring Ever since what happend last time the Bar maid has gone to a better place (Mcdonalds down the road ) so we are now left with a self service Bar. Oh no, Santa's back on the wine, But thats another story ( you will have to wait untill the Winter Post Office MOC ) Now here it is with the Winter toy shop. Wait why is santa driving a train Naked, oh wait the wine. C & C welcome . Quote

CarrollFilms Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I love what you did with the roof, I think TLG should start doing that and save slants unless really needed, but keep up the great work Here's a quick update: Looks like those Cheap Plastic Minifigs arn't so bad after all. That my friend, is a win! Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 WOW! I love all the winter mocs showing up, but this maybe the best! Nice work. I can see alot more MOC's coming after the Winter Bakery is released, Thank you Quote
Adrian86 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I love it, that´s really a great winter moc! It fits fantastic into the whole winter theme. The use of the small transparent tiles is a great way to get the impression of ice. I´´m looking forward to you winter post office moc! Quote
