greg3 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) Hi Here's my latest MOC train, the Bee, one of a pair of 19 inch gauge engines (the other being the Ant) operating on a restored section of mine railway in Laxey in the Isle of Man. The original railway began in 1877 with the 2 engines taking over from ponies to haul lead and zinc along a mile and a half track. In 1929, the mine closed and the engines were scrapped but a section of railway has recently been restored and 2 replica engines now pull tiny passenger wagons a quarter of a mile along the old mine workings. I thought a small engine might be easier to build - but it wasn't!! If anything it's a bit oversized and it's still a bit of a WIP but I'm quite pleased with how it's come out so far. I might change the red for yellow and I need some wagons for it to pull and some narrow gauge track!! Reference pic Thanks for looking - all comments very welcome.. Cheers Greg Edited May 28, 2010 by TheBrickster Quote
