So after many test models this looks like the final Higgins boat model! Now I just need to make 7 more...

It holds twelve soldiers with three sailors for crew.

They seem a little too happy...

Looks great! I can't wait so see the finished diorama. I'm sure it's going to be a noble tribute to brave men who fought on those beaches. Here's to the greatest generation!

Very nice!

I found a awesomely awesome set made by Cobi, Its a LCU, "Landing Craft Utility". I must say, Brilliant quality, if not better than Lego's. Its perfect for your D-day Diorama, I'd look out for them.

I have bought the Willys Jeep already, it's awesome, but not to scale, its quite large.

The landing craft looks really nice. Maybe some SNOT to clean it up though.

It seems a little messy right now for my taste.

Yes, true. But when it comes to having to build 8 of these I like to keep them simple but I may experiment sometime soon

You could also just tile away those nasty studs! I generally don't like studs showing up, but with these beautiful minifigs, they look even worse! :pirate:

So yeah, just a few tiles and it will be fine IMO!

Keep it up, it's an amazing (and huge) project!
