501st Commando Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 (edited) Another walker for the 48x48. Main pic. The front. Side shot. The back. Another shot. Broken down into sub-sections. Edited February 28, 2010 by KimT Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Nice, your AT-RT is well designed and much more realistic than TLCs. Quote
Big Cam Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 I'm torn, I really liek the design, including the thing legs, but then the other side of me thinks the legs are too thin. I'm going to side with the side that likes it. Quote
Brickus Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Great work, looks just like the real thing, maybe the legs are a little thin, but otherwise it's great. Quote

Thanks, I was thinking of changing them but then they wouldn't be as flexable. Quote
prateek Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 I really like the legs, but they don't look that stable. Quote
501st Commando Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 I really like the legs, but they don't look that stable. Actually they are quite stable. Since the walker is so small and light the legs hold it up well. Quote
Legostein Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 (edited) Hello! The use of many different clip plates for the feet is really nice. But I am also not so sure about the legs. It looks like the walker is toeing-in a bit, especially as the middle "hinge" is fixed by a 90 degress tap piece. Maybe you can use some robot or droid arms for a more flexible solution. CELESTRIAL Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 This is an interesting approach, but to me i think the legs are way to thin, even for the AT-RT. I like the top halve though, it looks perfect just think the legs need to be buffed up a notch. Quote
Fumoffu Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Nice MOC overall but personally I'll like to see more bulk on the legs. Reminds me of chicken feet at the moment. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 This takes "Chicken Walker" to a whole new level. Quote
501st Commando Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 Update. I bulked the legs up a bit with some 1x1 clips. Does it work Y/N? @-Thanks for the comments everyone. Quote
The Nightwing Reborn Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 A very nice MOC of one of the coolest vehicles! I , however, find the legs to be a bit short in proportion to your spot-on cockpit. I came to this conclusion by comparison to the 2005 hasbro version, so I could be way off base here. Great creation, and I do enjoy the legs flexibility. Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 A really nice AT-RT 501st Commando! I think you could make the walker alittle more colourful though, so far its looking alittle to bland, maybe some Kashyyyk greens or alittle dark red. Otherwise, nice job. CommanderFox Quote
