Matt Dawson Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) Lego has had a somewhat a fascination with Pizzarias. With the release (and purchase) or City Corner last year, and subsequent improvements (you'll see in later photos), I thought it worthwhile to add a van. Inspiration comes from the 'Pizza-to-go' set... Obviously, two main differences arise; lack of detail and it's somewhat odd shape. Here's my MOC (photos swapped): The rear doors (old windscreen): And lastly, it fits right into the city scene (old windscreen)! One problemo, though - the doors don't fit when a pizzas in. Good job I've only got two, then... Edited January 25, 2010 by Matt Dawson Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Nice try at a classic town style vehicle 'Matt Dawson' ! Have you considered a rear door that was hinge to open/close from the top like a regular delivery van ? In any case it really suits your layout, think I might do a small car version of this of course with a larger rear end. I'm a conformist! 'Matt Dawson' ! Quote
Legostein Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Hello! Nice storage facilities for the food in the back. However I think that the side mirrors are a bit oversized for a nice 4-wide classic car like yours. Maybe you want to try a 1x1 tile or 1x1 round plate. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
prateek Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Nice! The only thing I'd fix is the side mirrors. They're too big IMO. Quote

I did actually do a (similar but longer) yellow van a while back and was posted on this thread (you'll notice the drivers are the same... Nice storage facilities for the food in the back.
