cagri Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 So here's a new MOC from me, hope you like it: Brickshelf - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=417397 (once moderated) Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/legoadam/ Quote
Big Cam Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I like it, it would fit right at home in any modular setup. I like the second level door how it is set in a bit so the door can actually open creating a balcony type space. And the bum on the parkbench on the back side made me smile, I thought of Hagrid as a bum. Quote
Legostein Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Hello! Yes it's lovely! But where did the name come from? This didn't get so clear for me. Has it something to do with the creation itself or is it your love to bricks? Anyway, the houses are great, but my most favourite detail is the street lamp using a glow-in-the-dark dish! It's a fabulous idea! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Badsneaker Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Looks great! Nice and neat and tidy, very cute! Quote
cagri Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 But where did the name come from? I never thought of a name for this MOC but I happened to be listening to "The Doors - Love Street" so I said what the hell! Completely random name :) I'd like to make a buidling in dark tan or sand green but I only had light bley bricks in quantity so that's how I ended up.. Pics didn't turn out so well either. It looks better in real life :P I guess I need a real light setup.. Quote
Rick Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 So here's a new MOC from me, hope you like it: I do. I particularly like the gray/tan building, because it's architecturally a bit more interesting than the other building, although the dark red is a nice accent color for the other building. Quote
prateek Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Awesome buildings. These fit right in with other modulars. It's nice to see a balcony, since it is a rare sight in modular buildings Quote
badboytje88 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I like these buildings, they would look great with the official modular buildings. The name confused me though ! At first I thought this had something to do with payed love if you get what I mean... Quote
cagri Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Thanks for the compliments! I thought this had something to do with payed love if you get what I mean... If you wait a little bit, you may see some "hot action" in my MOCs :) Here's a quick shot from a WIP version of this: Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 What a fantastic street scape MOC....very well detailed exteriors to both townhouses ! Again 'Cargi' you've done it .......AWESOME ! I'm a conformist! 'Cargi' ! Quote
Etzel Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 That's a very nice MOC, cagri! The right house is my favourite with the nice façade with tan tiles. The little balcony on the other house is nice too. Keep up the good work! Quote
peterab Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 These are great buildings, I particularly like the scale of them, not quite so large as the official modular houses, but still urban. I also like the muted colours and the street life. Quote
BlueBard Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Lovely "Love Street" indeed! I especially like your brick-built road, really nice Quote
RoryoCox Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Really amazing. I love everything about it. The Lego 'Play Well' sign is very well done. The choice of minifigures and the colours of the building are all excellent. Can't wait to see your next modular building. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 A very lovely building. Great colors. Nice detailing. An elegant design. I love it! Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 And the bum on the parkbench on the back side made me smile, I thought of Hagrid as a bum. I agree =P. The sign's quite nice. I've never seen a light-blue briefcase before, though. Interesting. Quote
CommanderFox Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 A very nice Modular MOC cagri Nicely detailed and I really like that decal of yours. The dark Red against the Grey looks very nice! Well done with this MOC! CommanderFox Quote
