sens1992 Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I just finished creating this MOC. It is a Small Car Dealership. I will try to get other parts to sell other cars than the white ones but for now, white is the only color they have on the lot ... http://www.flickr.com/photos/45260367@N08/...57623170274450/ The photos are not so great since it is pretty dark but I will post clearer and close ups in the future. Thanks! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Very nice MOC 'Sens1992' ! Now you have set the bar, see what I can do next ! Love multiplexed design - Fantastic ! Looks like real life dealership ! Great work 'Sens1992' ! Quote
sens1992 Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Thanks Lightningtiger. I will try to make it bigger eventually, maybe adding a 4th floor in the tower and a couple of cars (other than white) in lot in front of the dealership. Thanks again for ths kind comments. Quote
dr_spock Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Cool MOC. I look forward to the clear pics and different colour cars. Edited January 9, 2010 by dr_spock Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I think this is a neat little Car Dealership Sens. I like the fact that it's three floors high and see-through on each floor. This reminds me of old Hot Wheel / Matchbox garage sets we played with as kids. Front-paged! Quote
The Cobra Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I always thought Lego should make a Car dealer set (like it once had a Bike dealer). This is a nice one indeed. Quote
RileyC Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Its very nice I can remember seeing this dealership in a car magazine my dad showed me. I was thought it was a great piece of architecture. Very well done! Quote
the Inventor Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Great car-dealership, I really like it. I would love it if Lego made something like this. Good work. the Inventor Quote
CommanderFox Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Really nice job with this MOC sens1992! I like the little cars, they are very cute! The outside is nice and SNOTy, and the inside looks nice aswell. Well done on this little MOC, a fourth story would be very nice! CommanderFox Quote
Rick Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It was only a matter of time before someone would do a Smart dealership, but you did a really outstanding job on it. Not too big, just right! Quote
jamtf Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Is it possible to add a moving elevator on the outside of the building to get the cars from one floor to another? Quote
Milan Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Very cool! I like the big surface of the glasses. Nice and tidy building! Quote
Zorbas Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Very nice MOC sens! The design of the building is very good and the fact that you can display four smarties without the building being too large is a big plus. The display cases are exactly how they should be and the office section is very well built. I also like the colour selection you've made and the addition of green. Now you have an extra motive of buying the new cargo train I guess. These display cases need to be filled! Quote
sens1992 Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Is it possible to add a moving elevator on the outside of the building to get the cars from one floor to another? Well first, thank you very much for all your great comments. I was not expecting such a reponse on my MOC! To answer your question Jamtf, I agree, it would be a good idea. In fact, the tought of an elevator crossed my mind when the whole thing was finished . I tought that a lift lift like in this set:6394 Metro Park & Service Tower would probably work well... I miss those odd sets (other than fire and police) that LEGO use to come up with from time to time and when I bought my first 3177 Small Car, I quickly bought 2 then 3 and the idea of this dealership followed... I now have a new set to add to my LEGO City! Quote
prateek Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) sens1992 strikes again! I love it! It reminds me of BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Edited January 9, 2010 by prateek Quote
AND3RSEN Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Great work! i like the amount of window pieces used...it makes it look more realistic Quote
Modulex Guy Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It reminds me of the actual Smart dealers. Quote
Rapseflaps Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Looks great! I just bought the small car yesterday and built it today. I love having a nice little 4-wide car based on the old car base again. And having one with a modern design makes it fits into my City even better. I'm telling you, if TLG had released this same set in five different colours I probably would have bought one of each! Quote
curtisrlee Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Wow, great work! Reminds me of a Smart dealership I've seen before in real life Quote
wooootles Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Now that's just sweet. Even better that someone posted a real Smart car dealer. Now you just need a crooked dealer minifig! Quote
sens1992 Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Thanks again for good and funny comments... I have added a few brighter photos on my flickr link. :-) Edited January 9, 2010 by sens1992 Quote
Legostein Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Hello! That's a lovely town creation! The display cases are excellent, and lead me to a strange idea. What if you had modular display boxes which you could stack on each other to create a tall display pile? He started as a small car dealer and ended up with the highest car display in the world. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Ezechielle Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Seen on Eurobricks frontpage! Really nice MOC! And great use of the new "smart" car! (do you think Smart payed TLC for that? ) <=joke Quote
