74louloute Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Sunday's sermon at Notre Dame de la Carce (Marjevols - Gevaudan) Between 1764 and 1767, a wolf-like animal known as The Beast of Gévaudan has terrorised the province of Gévaudan. Each Sunday, the nobles and all the civilians went to the church to pray God in order to save them from the beast. But the nobles were less and less concerned about this threat, thinking being saved by their status... This MOC was inspired by the movie : "Le pacte des Loups" Comments will be appreciated ! Pics are link, but more pics are here. Thanks! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Very cool, I think the pastor's face and hair work perfectly. It really looks like a miniature church hall. Great work! Quote
BlueBard Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Wonderful! You really caught the feeling of this creepy french legend/affair (we'll never know! :skull:) and also the feeling of the movie And btw, the pulpit is excellent, my fav part of the MOC Quote
Athos Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I really like the pulpit. I think the CCC7 has a time period limitation, which ends at the London Fire (1660s, right?), so your MOC's description may cause you some heartburn... Though I'm not sure how nitpicky the judges will be. Steve Quote
Zorro Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Very nice MOC and church. I love how you've done the Christ statue and the priest's speaking chair (don't know the English term). I also like the background story. Quote
Milan Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Phenomenal MOC! I am impressed how good it is! Excellent work! Quote
Lorentzen Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 This is an EXTREMELY well-buil MOC with numerous ingenius details. My favourite is the two burnt-down candles on the last of your pictures. That is just insanely well thought of. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 That is a wonderful interior scene. The pulpit is very cool and I like how you used the sign/flag piece as a rug under it. I am going to remember that one. I also really like the handcuffs for chair legs. That is also very clever and I haven't scene that before. Great MOC! Quote
badboytje88 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 This creation is just plain awesome! I love the brown male statue holding up the stand. The figs looks luvely! ~Bart Quote
