Big Cam Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 So what do you have? Do they relly come in all the colors that Bricklink says? Because bricklink only has 3 colors for sale. I allowed multiple votes for the colors since this could happen, but please don't abuse it and skew the results, be honest. Quote
catbricks Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 One, it's green, and I LOOOVE it. How did I ever manage without it? (Oh wait, I just have to look at my pre-dark ages bricks to answer that...) Quote
Milan Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I do not have any of them. I have just searched through youtube and it looks like it is very useful! Can anyone throw opinion about this part/set? Thanks catbricks. Quote

I find it the most useful when trying to take off small flat pieces from large flat pieces. Instead of hurting your fingernails you use one of these. I'd grab one next time you are at a LEGO store or order from Shop @ Home, it's like 2 bucks and worth every penny. Quote

The other colors are "wants" there is no evidence that they are out there. Edited October 19, 2009 by Omega 8 Quote
The Cobra Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I own a Grey one. I thing one can be enough (and I didn't even know it was available in orange too). Quote
M. Lupin Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Zippo! Right now I'm trying my best to increase my collection's size and... I can't afford one. It may be the the most useful piece, but I don't need one. And yes I need random cool looking figures of lines I've never heard of! Quote

Sir Dillon Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I have two, both in dark grey. One is enough for most cases, but I seem to be constantly losing one or both, so it's nice to have two around. Quote
Big Cam Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 I'm kind of tempted to buy an orange one just to have it. $16 but it'd be rare. Quote
Spyder Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I actually wasn't sure of whether to buy one or not, so I made this thread a while ago, asking people their opinion on it. I finally went to a Lego store and decided to buy one, as there were buckets of 'em all over the place. I got home and tried it out, and I instantly knew I should've gotten a couple more. It's the best thing to ever happen to my Lego, and my fingernails. I don't know how I ever got on without it. I highly recommend to anyone who doesn't own one that they get one ASAP. Quote
Athos Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I have several, but its never enough, since I can never find one when I need it... Steve Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 One in dark grey, I find it sometimes when I need it, other times it is nowhere to be found It is useful, but it can cause MOC failure so I don't use it that often. Quote
Big Cam Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 I read that other thread and saw the post about them being evil and damaging bricks. I only use mine for the bricks thgat are really hard to get off. I honestly barely use it, but I love having it around for that one time I get frustrated because 2 pieces won't come apart. I can't see myself removing the same brick multiple times in a row to cause any damage. I've even watched my bricks as I separate them and I see no damage at all. Quote
JCC1004 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I don't have any. I keep forgeting to get one at the Lego Store. Anyway, I'm a man, I don't nedd no stinking brick separator! I'd really like an orange one though. I'll probably have to settle with green. Quote
Etzel Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I had two grey as a kid but now I have none. And I don't feel the need for anyone neither, my fingernails are good enough and when they aren't I can always use some other bricks or plates to separate the pieces. Quote
prateek Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Don't own any, but my cousin does, and it is really useful Quote

I will have to order one with next BL order. Quote
Ricecracker Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I have around five. I never even considered using one until I got one as a gift. Now I use two of them all the time. The reason I have five is because I got my first two as gifts (Both green), and my other three + from garage sale lots afterwards (All grey). I really want the bright light orange one, because it would stand out among my other parts making it easier to find. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I only have one, but it awesome and it is especially useful getting pieces off of plates. Mine is grey. Batbrick Away! Quote
Rocketbilly Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I have two, possibly three, but I'm unsure as I can never seem to find them all in the same place at any given time Weirdly, after an accident I had a few years back in which I nearly lost my finger, I gained a sort of "claw" - combine that with medical treatment to treat bone density and I now have my own natural brick separator Kind of weird.....but I'm going back to the more traditional grey ones I own....not only are they plastic, but they save me chipping my nail polish too Seriosuly though, I do think they are great little gadgets. I even incorporated one into a MOC once. Will/Rocketbilly Quote

Lego is a painful hobby. I did see this funny MOC by Doctor Sinister. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 When were they that yellow orange color? Is that a special thing for LEGO workers or something? I have one old grey set and one green one that came in a Creator set. Quote
ILikePi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I have one - a green one (which I bought on January 2009)! I find it to be extremely useful, but I think that I will need to get another sometime in the future to make taking plates apart easier. Too bad, it costs less than the tax on most sets.$2.49 It used to be $1.79 USD a few months ago. Quote
Piranha Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) 1 GREEN Brick separator for me I think a grey one would be nice but yes the orange one is really cool and a special part. I considered buying one when i made an order from Magic Bricks recently however $16 was a bit steep for me Edited October 20, 2009 by Macoco Quote
