I like the idea, but I think you should make the gate wider.

I think the design is very good.

Especially with the more or less open back.

You might consider adding a portcullis behind the main door.

The gate house really gives the impression of a city gate.

If you want to remain within (the subjective) boundaries that still keep it viable as a "set-lego-might-release", I would keep the size as it is.

Otherwise it might become too big. Currently it reminds me a lot of gate houses on castle in the mid 1980s.

Overall a very good job indeed.

Now lets cross our fingers and hope Lego will start releasing modular castle sets such as these.

Tall and imposing, "does exactly what it says on the tin" I would like to see this in some more context, I think it would really set it off well.
