Unitron6991 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 (edited) Click the pix for more. In my not so humble opinion the 7150 Y-wing was one of the least accurate Star Wars sets. It was on up there with the Naboo Starfighter and the Gungan Sub. I have tried to fix as many of the problems as I could. The hardest part was putting in enough greebles and lowering the engines. Please tell me what I can do to make it even better. (yes, I now am thinking about changing the cab) Edited August 27, 2009 by KimT Quote
Commander Flash Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Very good. It looks like you got most of the greebles, which are one of the iconic aspects of this ship. The engines are fine. Quote
SWMAN Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Great job modifying it. In my opinion, they really improved it with the second Y-Wing. When this Y-Wing was released, most of the sets were not very detailed. Lego had just gotten into Star Wars and they were still working out the bugs. Quote
KimT Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Agreed, the 2nd Y-wing is waay better than this older model, when considering design and greeble. I actually like the 7150 version, but I have a soft spot for the older more simple Star Wars sets. It's the same thing with the X-wing, the newer models are awesome compared to the first one, but it still holds a special place in my mind (and heart). Quote
