Hello everyone! I haven't had time for posting on forums for a while due to life business. Luckily I have just enough time to get some building done now and then. This is castle Rockenstein. It's shape is mainly a ripoff of a portion of Schloß Lichtenstein castle.

Saw it on Flickr last night! This thing is amazing! Your castles just keep gettin' better and better.

How tall is it though, from tabletop to the top of the tower? It just looks massive.

Thanks RebelRock.

May I say this really rocks?

Another great MOC  where I don´t know what to start with.

All those details: The small balcony, the bell "tower", the main gate...

(and the use of Star Wars material)

Yet again, I´m speechless. :cry_happy:

I thought of printing one of your photos and sticking it to my wall.

The only thing is: The round towers don´t fit to the clear and seemless other walls.

I have no idea though, how to improve it.

Thank you very much for your inspiration!

Absolutely stunning!

That's just more than fantastic. The landscaping is marvelous, and the numerous details added to the castle are also great. Great job RebelRock, as always.

That's an absolutely awesome MOC, RebelRock!

I really  it!

It looks absolutely realistic and the details are stunning! :oh:

Perhaps some more minifigs would add more life to it.

Otherwise it's perfect!

Very, very well done!

WOW! Incredible castle. Seems to be VERY huge. Love the main tower and the gate. Awesome rocks btw.

You need 5 minutes to figure out all these great details.

Great job!

This is a beautyfull castle!

all the lovely details.

This is really one of my favourites castles up untill now.

I'll save this for future reference.

I especially like the moddling you've done with the random dark bley tiles.

Is there a particular reason why you didn't use light bley tiles as well?

I have to concur with Holodoc that the round towers seem a bit out of place compared to the other walls.

But I'm not yet aware of a more satisfactory technique, except for tiling the exterior of the towers with light bley tiles.

But that could leave annoying gaps between the tiles.

As far as the landscape is concerned I love your rock formations. :classic::thumbup:

But I'm a bit curious to your choice for a green field around the castle.

The original Lichtenstein castle sits on the top of a high mountain, protecting the back.

You're version seems to be a bit vulnarable at the back in that green field, maybe a moat at the back would look better?

Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks a lot for sharing this beautyfull castle. :classic:

Kind regards,

Teddy

Stunning! A beautiful piece of work for sure. I do wish you had taken the time to build a ramp or something to connect with the drawbridge though... it looks odd just hanging there like that.
