I've already seen it on MOCPages..... It's realy great!!

The way you did all the details is awesome! I just would change one thing! The color! Tan would fit better, I think......

But you still did, as usual, an excellent work!!

Tan would fit better, I think......

Well, it wouldn't. Zagreb has quite a few yellow buildings, it's quite odd acctually. But, I guarantee you, tan wouldn't fit better. Because everyone calls them yellow, and the color is quite specific. And it was like dirty yellow before, because of the smog. Today it's under a renovation, and they are painting it in almost LEGO like yellow.

There are some more of yellow buildings in Zagreb, one even from the same architects. And this one is also made out of LEGOs by a friend of mine. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/37369

Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Ha ha ha...

I was so confused

Totally mixed you up with Pumich here first.

Thought "did he create a new account or what".

Good work

Looks really great.

Would be nice to see some referance pics.

I could search for myself, but for all others that don´t have the energy to do so :hmpf:

Edit your first post and add one or two pics.

Wow, that is an amazing creation you have made there Matija!

I really like all the small details and the glass roofs, wonderful.

It looks exactly like the original, did you get the original build plans for it?

And since there are glass roofs i am also curious if you have made an interior, as it would be nice to see stuff through them?

All the Matija's build large yellow buildings it seems.

I commented on this earlier today on MOCPages; it looks fantastic, and I always find it refreshing to see something like this built in something other than tan, but since I commented I've been wondering on one thing:

Since you're bringing it to Brickworld, you'll be transporting it by air, I presume. Does it have any reinforcing behind the walls, or is it already sturdy enough when packed to not collapse during transport? I know Pumich had some rebuilding to do when he got his theatre back from Copenhagen, and should have since then started to reinforce the walls with technic beams. Just thinking that reassembling this would be a major PITA.

Great to be able to welcome you here as well Matija!

That has got to be one of the most impressive builds I've ever seen... period.

(oh.. and... I love the yellow  )

Blogged!

This is absolutely amazing. I really like the techniques you used in the architectural details. It's quite an inspiration, very amazing! I too would like to see it in tan, but understand your choice to keep it yellow. Painting all the buildings yellow? Yikes. :sceptic: But, it's one of the best MOCs I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing. Where will you display it? Will you build other buildings in the same scale to be part of a humongous layout?

Great job, Matija! I'm really impressed with all the details you've included, especially the glass roof. I can't wait to see this at Brickworld, three weeks is too long :sing: . And yes Hinckley, according to TBB, you'll be able to ogle at it at Brickworld  .

That's absolutely amazing! :cry_happy:

So many details, and accurate to the real thing down to the last brick. I actually like the yellow color. Not only does it look like the actual building, it also stands out from most buildings because of the color. I'm curious how you will go about transporting that huge MOC.

One of the best MOCs I've seen. :sweet:

I had to do a double take on MOC pages when I saw the photo's the MOC is based on because I wasn't sure for a second which was which. I don't think I have ever seen a real building copied so perfectly and the size and scale is very impressive. The overall effect is stunning. You did an incredible job on every detail of which there are too many to count. I can't wait to see what you do next!

Mmmm, that's beautiful and yellow. If I had that many yellow bricks I'd fill the bath with them and dive right in. God, I love yellow. Sorry about that, forgot where i was for a minute. That's a fantastic building,Matija. A wonderful balance of size and detail. Fantastic. And so yellow..... drool

This is a fantastic creation! The sheer size of it and the fact it looks just like the Art Pavillion on the pictures you've added makes it even more impressive!

The building itself (both the LEGO version as the real version) are very beautifull as well, with the yellow, and the darkgrey roof.

A big fat  from me!

Thank you guys for all the nice comments.

I will transport it in two extra large samsonite hard plastic suitcases. And it goes with me on plane, of course.

The building itself is modular, and is reinforced with technic a bit from the inside, to keep the walls together. Every module is wrapped in plastic, then taped, and then surrounded with lots of bubble wrap and then put in the suitcase... I sure hope it will come to Chicago safelly. If not... well, then I'll need some help to reasamble all the pieces.

That's an absolutely amazing MOC, Matija Grguric! :oh:

I really  it!

The details are stunning and it looks absolutely realistic! :oh:

The most I like the fountain, the entrance and the glass dome!

Very, very well done!

Btw: You didn't include some interior, did you?
