Etzel Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I don't know what to say, except that it's fantastic! :oh: I just can't stop looking at it! Quote
eti Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Oh I love it! Is that another bit of the same track where it comes out of the water in the front? Now that's not a ride for pussies! The thumbnails don't work, by the way. Quote
Admiral M Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Another great moc, sly. I always new SOMEONE would post a roller coaster , but I didn't expect it to be in the adventure forum! The track looks really good, and the detail is great. It all looks very dwarvish! Quote
Asuka Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 A brilliant idea and very well executed! The landscaping looks fine and the track layout´s simply marvelous and plain hilarious too! Quote
DaleDVM Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 This is absolutely awesome. What a great idea! Looks like the dwarves are raking in the cash. From the barriers for the line, to the lift, to the tracks, and carts all I can say is perfectly executed. Quote
djo Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 wow. awesome ride. great MOC. i like the diorama very much. especially the 2 level idea. really catch the dwarves' mining concept. nice building technique for the rail. i wonder how you make the rollercoaster's wheels? and how come that blacksmith can still attached to the car and not falling? great trick. marvelous. Lordofdragonss Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Amazing MOC! Full of live, vomit and firebreathing jokers xD The green grass on the top of BURBs is really nice looking detail! Umm.. why the Dwarf- woman has beard? xD Edited February 21, 2009 by Lordofdragonss Quote
Lego12 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 You didn't. No you didn't.......you did. You built a rollercoaster with Dwarves! Its awesome! I saw the pictures on Brickshelf and its huge! I really like it and I think that TLC should build a themepark theme. That would be great! Quote
Zorbas Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Fantastic idea and greatly executed! It is literally a ride to the underworld! The tracks are just brilliant! Quote
Freddie Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Hahah! Now that is just fantastic! But is it safe...? (Not that it seems to bother the passengers getting on) Quote
Dadster Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Awesome!! I really don't know what else to say... Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I really like this, the idea and the MOC of course, is awesome. I like all the mine features in it which are used as a rollecoaster now. There's still a gem in the mine though... Quote
TLV Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Amazing work you've got there. The rocks are really nicely done. I also love dwarven jester and female dwarf. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Sweet Biscuits Sly! That is so awesome, Im very inspired to have a crack myself one day. Just great detailing all round. The firebreathing Jester is cool. Bravo Quote
Loganwan Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I want a ride. That is a great build. I like how you made the rails. I think it needs a loop. Quote
Fordo Jumping Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 the scene is really awesome, at the first glimpse I don't know how to express the feeling it's just to astonishing and the bats-idea is quite fun and the orbit ended in the water made out more imaginary way for me to figure out what's in it wish to have the whole view Quote
WhiteFang Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Interesting medieval creation based on modern concept! It's amazing for the dwarves engineers to make use of that rail technology and use them as a cash generating tool for our medieval citizens. I am sure they are going for one wild ride. At first, I thought this moc was only restricted to the front view and bare at the back. However, the unexpected design at the back excites me even more with with those rail bends. Very good use of the skeleton black arms as the use of the tracks. Great job! Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Sly, you are a bloody genius! This MOC is brilliant, I keep coming back to look at it again, and every time I notice new details and ideas. I have no idea where you got the inspiration for this, but it's great! Three cheers for SlyOwl! Quote
SlyOwl Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Thanks all! 2 pages without me bumping? Wow! The thumbnails don't work, by the way. Fixed! i wonder how you make the rollercoaster's wheels?and how come that blacksmith can still attached to the car and not falling? The 1x1 round plates just about stay in between the inside edge of the bottom of the cart and the outside of the tube, but it's not very sturdy at all. Minifigs can grip the handle of the crate when perpendicular to the side The green grass on the top of BURBs is really nice looking detail!Umm.. why the Dwarf- woman has beard? xD There aren't any BURPs/BURBs/LURPs in there! It has roughly the same texture because I ran out of slopes, though. Dwarven women have beards... I really like it and I think that TLC should build a themepark theme. That would be great! But is it safe...? (Not that it seems to bother the passengers getting on) Nope! The carts with the figures in them barely fit through some of the holes, and the carts don't even fir through others! There's still a gem in the mine though... It's not worth extracting: the man dwarf hours required would not be worth as much as the revenue the dwarf would earn working as a theme park operator. (Actually it's because the area looked bare) I want a ride. That is a great build. I like how you made the rails. I think it needs a loop. I wanted to do a loop, but ran out of track and space in the mine. At first, I thought this moc was only restricted to the front view and bare at the back. However, the unexpected design at the back excites me even more with with those rail bends. Very good use of the skeleton black arms as the use of the tracks. Great job! The back? These things stack together, mate! Battle-droid/Life on Mars arms Quote
