Hinckley Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 So, I've been away from customizing for a while but am revisiting one of my stories and creating custom torsos and faces for it. I haven't started on the faces yet and some of these torsos are just recolored from previous ones I've made. However, I did make big alterations to the ones I re-colored and have a new torso with a nice vest pattern that I'm very happy with. So, meet new characters from The Book of the Ancients, a steampunk story I'll be telling on my website at some point in my life: The trench coats are from Unknown Artist. This is a variation of my elf princess torso in brown. I've removed a lot of the ornamentation. Here's another female fig using the same torso without the ornamentation on the skirt. I like the variation. This torso borrows a good amount from my Strider torso, the first custom I created. Only the top half is reminiscent of that torso. I made a kind of decorate armor below a breastplate on this one. This is another variation of the Strider torso I made. I have to print that one on white decal paper and wanted to make something that worked with clear. I think this shows up nicely on the tan torso. I also removed a lot of the details from the Strider torso to kind of simplify the overall look. Here's the same torso on a fig with an Unkown Artist trenchcoat. I need to work with shaping that coat a little better. It's an excellent custom piece and I love working with it. I just need to mold it a bit to make it look a little more natural. This is the new torso, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. Again, I've added a trenchcoat here, from Unkown-Artist and I love the result. I should pick up a black one to fit this torso better. The ladies together and accessorized. Steampunk men accessorized. And last but not least, my new torso on some steampunk men. Enjoy and please feel to leave some good criticism and feedback. I'd love to hear what you think or how they could improve. Thanks! Quote
Sandy Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I'm loving the jacket! And the decals are all gorgeous with all the details. As for the characters, you need to add a less lady-like girl into the group, in my opinion. Quote
Lego12 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Those are some great customs Hinck! Really nice decals. Can't wait to see more! Quote
Jasbrick Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Fantastic decals and an excellent group of cohesive characters... I look forward to the story. Jasbrick Quote
