Buttons Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 WOW! Are those old train track peices by any chance? Quote
Sandy Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Oh my gawd, the bunnies are so adorable! I immediately had to go and make one myself, and it really looks the part, despite the simple design! As for the rest of the MOC, it sure is gorgeous, although I cannot fathom how you keep the pieces together - it looks like the whole thing could fall apart at the slightest touch, with all the SNOTting and other professional techniques used in there. Zorro Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Yes this is truly another amazing MOC...too bad I can't see the other side, the side of the sceletons I mean. The rabbits are nice also, and the orc standing guard there depicts on some evil thing that can happen any minute now . Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 What? That is just plain old brilliant. I love the little [mine?] section with the dead skeletons. Although I, too want to know how you keep it together. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Brillant work as usual SlyOwl! The train track water is beautiful and the swirly water reminds me of this painting: I love the details in the skeleton area like the grey flippers and the torches as well. Is it really unstable considering the curviness to it? Great MOC! Quote
Legoman31 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Brillant work as usual SlyOwl! The train track water is beautiful and the swirly water reminds me of this painting: Great MOC! I thought it would remind you of food. Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 My brain just exploded. Violently. Too...awesome... Quote
Batbrick Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Fantastic moc. I especially love the curved effect, I have only a slight idea of how it was accomplished but it certainly was accomplished! Those rabbits are very cute too. Overall the whole thing is wonderful, I especially love the train track pieces as water. Batbrick Away! Quote
castlestrike666 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 (edited) Amazing Moc! I especially like the torches a lot! It's possible that I may use them in the future (if allowed of course! ) And how have you attached them to the wall? Edited December 23, 2008 by castlestrike666 Quote
Brickmaster Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Simply astounding in every aspect. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 So many curves! Lego is meant to be square, man i am tripping out! I will have to take a closer look at all the details on this outstanding MOC. Quote

SlyOwl Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 Thanks WOW! Are those old train track peices by any chance? Yup! Woah.Which category? Dunno - it's kinda Secret Hideout, kinda Misc. I don't know What? That is just plain old brilliant. I love the little [mine?] section with the dead skeletons. Although I, too want to know how you keep it together. This is no mine, it's a tomb! It was pretty heavily influenced by Moria/Dwarrowdelf. As for structure, a whole load of jumper plates and hinges at ridiculous angles hold the different sections together; kind of like this - - but only more complicated. Is it really unstable considering the curviness to it? It's actually reasonably strong, although it tends to fall apart when you move it, as there's no baseplate. The brown lightsaber bar in the crack to the left of the stairway is ridiculously loose - it's held in by the horizontal pressure of the two "rockfaces", and pings out if you so much as nudge the MOC. I thought it would remind you of food. I'm confused It's possible that I may use them in the future (if allowed of course! )And how have you attached them to the wall? Sure! They're just attached by: Quote
