Dwarvenlord Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Goedendag The dwarves' mine defender stays an interesting vehicle: I've modded it once, but still i wasnt happy with the catapult thingy. So i gave it a complete make over! I got some good inspiration from sinner's mobile still, thanks for some other pics, look at my brickshelf (when public) Brickshelf folder Quote
Guss Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 you replaced the catapult By a canon ? a big canon !!! that's a nice moc ^^ Goedendag go to ndag ? what does that means ? Quote
Wouwie Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Dwarf Artillery I like it! go to ndag ? what does that means ? Go back to your Dutch lessons! Quick! It means a bit like ''Hello'' Quote
Dennimator Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Wow! This looks really good! Can we have instructions or building photos? I might buy the set just to build this! Quote
Guss Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I never learnt my English lessons... so for the Dutch one I never had.. it'll be hard to go back to these :P I might buy the set just to build this! hey.. that's a nice idea ^^ Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Very nicely done - the cannon compliments it perfectly. Quote
Lord King of Everything Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Definitely good work! I like the looks of it and well, as I hate that catapult piece, it is a certain upgrade of the minedefender 1.0. The increased number of blades also makes it look less flimsy and thus more likely for a troll to not find its way between those blades unharmed/missing only a few limbs. Only problem now is that when doing a new MOC, you keep meeting that dreaded catapultpiece again in your sortingsystem. I prefer to have them in my display cabinet out of view behind some castle wall or something. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 That is going to seriously #$%@ up an Orc or too! Looks a whole lot scarier now, well done the cannon must pack a fair wallop now. Cheers Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Looks great, I have a mine defender but might just buy another one to do something similair to this to it, It really fits the dwarfes, being advanced tecnologically and all, so well done, well done!! Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 Thanks for all the kind comments, guys! Only problem now is that when doing a new MOC, you keep meeting that dreaded catapultpiece again in your sortingsystem. I prefer to have them in my display cabinet out of view behind some castle wall or something. Yea, i have some others laying around, and it's quite usefull in a catapult MOC where i'm working on. It looks a bit like this catapult. Wow! This looks really good! Can we have instructions or building photos? I might buy the set just to build this! It isnt that hard to copy, except the canon. If u want i'll make some fotos of the canon design Quote
Rayman Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 (edited) Nice use of the washtubs as the base of the cannon. A very fun looking MOC if I might say so. Edited October 15, 2008 by Rayman Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 Thanks, Rayman! This is a picture of the design of the canon: more pics on my brickshelf (when public) Quote
Sandy Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Hehe, this looks very fun! I'm loving the steampunk vibe coming from it, with the cap the dwarf has and all. Two of the front blades are in the opposite way of the other three, so even though it looks nice, that wouldn't work in real-life - the blades wouldn't spin but probably jam the whole system. And here I am again talking like I'm some engineer or something. Quote

But maybe if an orc is stuck in the blades, and the driver has to turn the blades the other way? Then those two opposite ones are useful! Quote
MoWo Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Nice MOC, Great Canon!! Dwarf Destroyer!! Go back to your Dutch lessons! Quick! It means a bit like ''Hello'' I think its like: Goodday Undersigned MoWo Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I like this steampunk design! It's a great re-design of the Dwarf Mine Defender. The cannon is terrific, and it will defintely blow the orcs up sky high. Thanks for showing us on how you design the cannon. I wanted to ask that question earlier too. Quote
