jifel Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) This is my first large scale MoC that I think is good. The battlefield w/out figs Backround: This is loosely based on a very common theme where almost everyone died and the survivors are struggling to keep alive and are fighting eachother for essential supplies, in small groups of allies. This takes place in a former major city, that is ripe with weapons, and survivors all over head here for supplies as soon as possible. In the battle, a small gang is fighting an about equal size group of enemies, and have set up a temporary defensive base. The base is fortified with deadly weapons: An abonded battlesuit, possibly worth salvaging by the victorious side. A victim of an earlier battle lies in a crater. A multiple missle system set up by the defenders. In the dark future, FEAR rules the land, and those who use it. An old control panel, perhaps the gun attached can be fired to devestating affect. The ruins of buildings and battlesuits provide much-needed cover. These spinning blades prevent atackers from climbing over the barricades. If there is know choice but to fall back, they will detonate the TNT to take down a few more enemies With figs: The blades are to close to the ground to slide under, as this man finds out. A rocket sends a man to his doom. A secod missle from the missle system wizzes overhead The dug-in gang( From here on "jifels gang") has only one hope, a mechsuit operated by their leader, the mighty jifel!!! (I am not the one being tossed around!) several enemies set up heavy weapons to take out the mechsuit. Jifels men are not, however, without heavy weapons of their own! this soldier is hiding behind the crashed battlesuit. An enemy uses cover to open up with a chemical flame launcher. The valiant defenders open up into the bewildered, unorganised survivors. the first of the heavy weapon team is cut down. He wont be the last. The 3rd shot from the missle system blasts two former survivors appart. A rocket blasts towards the mechsuit... And is swatted away! the missle man desperately tries to reload... and is shot down. The lone survivors courage snaps, and he flees. The bodies of the dead are piled and burned. Jifel and several men slowly lift the battered mechsuit. The lone survivor is brought back before he can spread word of there whereabouts. jifels troops set up mines and auto turrets, in case they come under another assault. The weapons and ammo from the dead are stored for future use. The defenders take a well earned rest. The heavy weapons man hurries down to to gather ammo from the loot. The inside of the temporary base is bare, with a small table and chair for eating. There is also a barrel wher the eaters weapons can be out of the way. Jifels troops set up trophys on old poles. Thats all for now, Folks! sorry for blurry pics. jifel Edited September 9, 2008 by jifel Quote
jifel Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks, Zero! I intend on replacing all the colored support bricks with all black or grey so it doesnt stand out, and i hopefully will be having a larger battle this weekend, and this time with casualties on both sides. This one was unrealistic. jifel Quote
JimBee Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Very good battlefield! I love how the victor of the battle sets up their weapons right away, and camps out there. The blades and missiles are great. The whole thing is kind of scary, and I can see this being in an Apocalypse based movie. Very good story-telling techniques, and the mech is great! I also like the uniqueness in your weapons. This reminds me a bit of Timeshift (a game). The only thing that you could work on is your pics= they are a bit blurry. Aside from that, excellent work, and I look forward to your battle this weekend. Quote
Manta Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I love this battlefield, and the background story is awesome. I also love the different armors for everyone. Great job! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Carnage! Lego Carnage! Mind you, could you resize the pics? Thanks. Quote
