Hello all Eurobricks members and Classic Town lovers,

This will be an exact replica of the famous Brickster's Face OFF. For this first installment by WhiteFang, this will be a competition between the two famous holiday residences that were released in the early 1980s.

Both sets has the exclusive green baseplate, gray cobble stone pathway to park their mini 4 studs vehicle. There are 2 minifigs which include a couple, a mailbox, red roof top, outdoor garden and etc. There are reviews for the both sets which are featured below to give you great insight to these wonderful classic town sets.

More importantly, don't you ever miss these lovely houses that is produced back then. :sweet:

So, what are you waiting for? Share with us your thoughts. Tell us which set do you like and why?

I said Holiday Villa, simply because the house itself has lots of great windows/ doors that I would use in my house MOC if I had the chance to get that set. I also like the covered garage. The points that I liked most on the Holiday Home were the umbrella, the archways/ flower boxes in the garage area, the roof's window, the tall tree and the fold-down shelter at the entrance.

Cobblestone paths, red and white colour schemes, small vehicles, convenient mail service, things to do inside and out, plenty of open airly lighting from the windows. Both are clearly winners, but in the contest of which is the best place to holiday, I have to say...

Holiday Home, without a doubt.

Since we're looking at what is intended to be a vacation spot, a summer place or something, I went with the one that looks more fun and less like a normal house. To me, both are incredible, but Holiday Home looks like a little Alpine Villa, while Holiday Villa looks like a more traditional style house. I feel like they named them backwards in that regard.

To further the case for Holiday Home, it includes the ever popular and hard to get Cypress

Yes, I'd gladly stay at either, but I'm making my reservation right now for a few weeks in Holiday Home. How about you?

Edited to add: Am I the only one that thinks that the shovel in Hinck's review looks like a shotgun? Clem, the friendly but slow gardener steps out of the shed with old Bessie, intent on finally being united with his beloved Mildred once and for all. "Why couldn't she have ever noticed me? Well, no matter now, we have all of eternity." Someone call LEGOLAND CSI!

Fabuland isn't the only edgy theme in my world.

Very interesting, and very hard to vote... both sets´re very well designed.

In the end, it´s 6374 Holiday Home for me... the overall concept looks a tad more comely to me.

Holiday home. High peaked roof, nice arched walls around the carpark, garage doors pieces snuck in as an awning, cypress tree, and dual pony tail female wig definately make it the winner.

Holiday villa does have two large picture windows, and a better female torso, but those are the only points where I feel it exceeds it's counterpart.

Am I the only one who despises those red/white/blue stickers that are used in old Town sets to represent drapes and awning fringe? Ugh.

This is a very hard decision for most of us here? It seemed the 6374 is leading by a little bit. I choose the 6349, mainly because this was one of my childhood set.

That is not a very valid reason. In fact, both sets are really outstanding in their own way and similar as well. Sometimes, I wonder if both sets are supposed to be sister sets? I am sure it will look very nice when both sets are placed side by side. This is a very hard decision. Let's hear from the rest of them. :sweet:

I think they are both sets. I really like the "sliding door" roof that comes with the Holiday home (Great for MOC Firehouses), but I also like the covered garage of the Villa. I'd have to say 49% to 51% in favor of the Villa.
