Hi there! I also posted this on classic castle so some of you might already commented on this.

Here is my latest MOC: "A Royal Knights Outpost"

I wanted to practise my landscaping skills so i ordered some 'landscaping-bricks' from bricklink and started building. Its my 'first' real landscape i made (well i made some before but they were always small and never a main focus point in my mocs), my first snot river, and my first 'odd shaped' tower...(its a pentagon shaped tower)

So, to be short: it was fun to build this moc.

"On the border of the Royal Knights Kingdom is a small outpost build on an open grassy area close to the woods of the forestmen. In this scene we see a captain returning from a trip to the kings castle. He is welcomed back by his subordinates.....but some forestmen are hiding and planning an assassination! Can you spot all 3 forestmen?"

Enough talk  , here is the folder:

I know i'm not that active around here lately, but i hope the 'euro-brickers' around here want to take a look and comment on this too! I'm interested in your opinions too. :classic:

Hi mrts, thanks for sharing this excllent MOC of yours. Your landscaping is simply amazing and well-done. The foot path, bushes, river are done in a very nice manner. Even that outpost of yours, it looks real sweet. However, I feel that if the bushes or trees will be much taller and thicker. It will be much approriate to stage an ambush on them. It will actually provides the Forestmen some good cover too. I have done something similar like yours. But it's defintely not as impressive or nice compared to yours.

Wow, nice little castle! I especially like the pentagonal roof of the tower. Quite creative to construct the roof that way! Quite a lot of plants, but hey: knights did not have lawn mowers.

It looks good, the towers has a great shape and wieght to it, looks very solid. I like the work around the door arch it's a nice touch. Your landscaping has gone very well, the mushrooms are excellent.

Thx for all the compliments people, its really appreciated! :classic:

About the tip of adding more bush (higher bush). On this moment this is all the vegetation i have, haha. I thought about adding a tree or 2 but i liked the look of the moc without it. I liked the open feel the moc has right now so i decided to keep it. Also around an outpost like this its not probable to have any more vegetation, the knights will probably cut everything down to prevent ambushes. In this moc i guess the knights have became a little sloppy of keeping the grass short around the outpost while their superior was away  ....

oh man! that's cool!!! Impressive!

How tall is is it? at least 30cm, right?

The tower is +_ 35cm tall, the whole moc measures from bottem to the top of the tower 45 cm high.

again thx all for taking the time to look at my moc and comment on it. :sweet:

I really like this! The great detail put into everything, those awesome windows, and the sweet waterfall! I also really like the diorama you've made, with the forestman especially...

But as I said about an MOC before, making cliffs like that seem to lack the really "rugged" look and seem smooth as compared to jagged. But otherwise, perfect MOC!

Thats great, im building a very similar MOC at the moment, just waiting for the last Bricklink order then i will post.

You have given me some great ideas with your windows, waterfall and tower.

What an outstanding MOC MRTS! Castle builders never seize to amaze me. You and others who build these fantastic MOCs always seem to build them large scale with wonderful detail. In addition to the nicely designed castle, the landscaping is superb. I love how you created the stream/river and how it flows around some of the rock formations. In regard to the castle, the sloping ramp/stair case with arched door looks terrific; just one of many details that make the overall creation look excellent. It's a beautiful creation indeed. How ong did this take to create. If I were to build something this scale, I'd hate to take it apart. Fantastic!

Thank you for all the compliments TheBrickster! :classic: I'd say it took me about 18 hours to build this moc. 2 sessions of 9 hours non-stop building haha, sick i know. I never really mind taking my mocs apart. I get tired of looking at it quite quick and then when i got a new idea for a moc i cant wait to take it apart.

Thx again all!

A wonderful and very charming MOC, the shape of the tower looks very distinct, with a great facade work especially with all

these different and fine detailed windows and that neat roof. The landscaping´s also very good, the creek just looks fantastic! :cry_happy:
