LIF to OBJ - a python script to convert LDD bricks to .obj files

Recommended Posts

Nice work. And even though I'm not using any of these programs it inspired me to create such thing for a 3D Studio Max. So I wrote an importer and exporter for the geometry and since I was at it I wrote an XML import/export. So... the next logical step was to create a custom brick and test if it would work in LDD. But I'm not sure if I can post the result.

Some more progress. No textures or even color support. Not all parts work. Forget about flex parts.

Some small updates:

I got all parts working (except flex parts). So this also includes minifigs now :)

Still looking on how to add logo on studs, textures, seems, and of course flex parts.

Add support for Transparent colors and Multi-colored solid parts (that is parts which consist of 2 plastic molds - like the bold hair piece).

I got internal groundwork done for texture support.
