WesternOutlaw Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I was tinckering with some Wild West figs and a new backdrop, and thought I'd share the results: From Left to Right: Shorty, The Kid, Two-Shot Tom, and Buffalo Soldier. - still working on the names. Without backdrop: Quote
Shoc Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Nice figs, good use of Adventurers parts , but I'm not keen on the mix of yellow and fleshy figs. :skull: Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Those figs are awesome! Thanks. I think Shorty looks like he could be Flatfoot's brother Quote
oo7 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Ahh, it's great to see some good ol' Western stuff from the Brickster, even things so simple yet nice looking. The fedora is surely an obvious inclusion used increasingly more frequently in recent Western themed material. Nice stuff overall; so much so that I'm hoping we'll see some further scenery for these guys later on. Quote
Flatfoot Thompsen Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Thanks. I think Shorty looks like he could be Flatfoot's brother Your right! It's my long last brother! Thank you so much for finding him Brickster!!! Quote
BlueBard Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Nice figs! Really! I specially like the dwarf, very clever Quote
Faramir Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Nice figs, good use of Adventurers parts , but I'm not keen on the mix of yellow and fleshy figs. :skull: When did he use fleshy? I don't see any... Looks really nice! Perfect backround, too. <Faramir-< Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Thanks for the feedback. When did he use fleshy? I don't see any... I figured he meant the Buffalo Soldier, but it's kind of hard to portrait one with a yellow face. Quote
Batbrick Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Great job here TheBrickster, thanks for keeping the spirit of WW alive on these boards! I love these figs, I'm not too fussed over the fleshie and yellow mixing, it looks fine to me. I like the use of the Indy fedora, I'm surprised how well it works actually, I may have to make a WW moc with that hat some day, if that is okay with you. Nice use of Johnny Thunder's green torso too, it fits right in. my favourite is probably Shorty, just for being, well, short Batbrick Away! Quote
Nolan Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 (edited) great minifig moc Edited April 15, 2008 by Nolan Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 They look cool. Lets hope for future WW sets then we can all say Consarnit and Dagnabit a lot more often! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 They look cool. Lets hope for future WW sets then we can all say Consarnit and Dagnabit a lot more often! I've said this before, but if enough people expressed interest in the theme (building MOCs and sharing their creations), I think Lego would listen. In regard to these figs, I really like how Shorty came out. I've been wanting to make a midget cowboy for a long time, and never tried. The Buffalo Soldier is the only fig that isn't new. I used the idea in one of my Grave Stone MOCS, the Shady Inn II. Quote
Asuka Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Nice characters indeed, and Shorty´s my favorite too.... I´m not completely sure about Two-Shot Tom, because it looks like his sleeves don´t match the color of the part of the shirt you can see through his vest.... Quote

It's the Johny Thunder torso from Jungle River (7410). I just changed the pants to black. Quote
