I decided to head down to one of our data monitoring stations and see for myself if everything was working properly. We need to be sure that the data we work with is accurate! I thought it would be best to take Dr. Allison along since I've come to rely upon her expertise. Upon arriving it seemed like everything was set up properly and recording correctly. We climbed to the roof to have a look around the area and make sure nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I'd brought along the robotic dog and it seemed upset it was unable to climb the ladder. Dr. Allison said I needed to give it a name also, since she didn't like just calling it "robot dog". I'm less prone to sentimental attachment so I told her she could give it a name, she said she would think of a good one.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, which was somehow strange. I would, of course, prefer all our equipment work flawlessly! And yet in this instance I was seeking an answer and still had none. It was tough though because being unable to share with Dr. Allison my motives meant she couldn't understand my disappointment at finding all of our data gathering fully functional.

I've got a plot developing with the dog. Partially this storyline came about from recently adopting 2 kittens. But a dog seemed a more plausible companion when out and about.
