Location: C03 Torresta, Haven Settlement

Haven is a city that has sprung up recently and on the surface of Torresta. Haven was named due to the fact that the ground it was built on was relatively stable compared to the rest of Torresta's volcanic surface. This made it a great location for a large star port and it frequently sees visitors from the Milky Way galaxy wishing to trade with MANTIS.

Not everyone follows the traffic laws.

Haven has a high speed monorail connecting it with the MANTIS capital city, the Core.

Small pod cars can frequently be seen flying over head.

No city is without it's problems though. Even though MANTIS has strict customs enforcement in the star port, the sales of the illegal "space dust" are still all to frequent.

Here are a few more angles of the city unpopulated

Thanks for looking. I have wanted to try and build a futuristic city and had fun with this. C&C is always welcomed.

Fantastic take on the "gritty" city style - it's a lot of work, and I really like how it came off here. Very much in keeping with M.A.N.T.I.S.' style.

Well done. Has a Blade Runner feel to it for some reason. Maybe I am aging myself with that one :)

Very nice build, it will score really high, IMO.

Really great city scene and many cool vehicles!

The many tubes and scaffolds make it feel like... I don't know, like it was added too over time, or built hastily/cheaply (not your build but the part of the city) a little run down and very busy. Maybe Blade runner is a good reference but I haven't seen it yet

A great build anyway. It may get quite a few points IMO too (only have to decide just how many )

I really wish you had put some effort into this challenge..... :sarcasm: . But seriously awesome build. It feels crowded in a good way. The streets look well planned. I like how you used black and green sparingly. All the cars and vehicles are great.

The build is amazing, and I love all the gritty street-level details like the bum, and the drug dealers, and the street corner musician. Feels very lived-in.

Great job here! I love all of these buildings, and those vehicles are great!

Fantastic build, StarHawk! All the buildings are superb, and I really like that monorail

Great job with the vehicles too :classic:

Good, just good.

The streets of Haven defenitely feel MANTIS-like.

You really did well achieving a sci-fi city look  The vehicles are all sweet, with good parts use and shaping. Great minifigure combos as well :classic:

This build is highly inspirational. Very cool designs and awesome minifigs! The whole thing looks vibrant and colourful. Can hardly be done better :classic:

Thanks guys, glad you liked it. :classic:

The judges awarded you 8 points.

Thanks judges. :classic:

Thanks everyone. I'm glad the gritty nature was noticeable because that is what I was aiming for. :classic: Octan and Kawashita can keep their shiny cities. I tried to base this off of cities you would see today but give it more of a sci-fi, claustrophobic over populated feel as well. I wanted to make the city have more levels to it too, like walkways between building, but I was starting to run out of parts.
