// PERSONAL DIARY //

We finally solved the mystery of the ships we had been seeing recently. One of our Octan Racer pilots, a Mr. Chest Rockwell, was out testing his Open Modified Class spaceship when he noticed one of the ships. They communicated with him and asked for a representative of our corporation to hold a formal meeting with them. He relayed the message back to the corporate HQ in the area and they contacted me. Not only am I a member of the executive team, but I was also already in the system.

I was invited down to the planet to meet with them. I conferred with CEO pombe who suggested bringing Dr. Allison so that we showed that we were a progressive corporation and also ED-208 in case they "swung that way". I'm still not sure exactly what that means. But I am always happy to have my faithful companion with me. Upon landing we were escorted to an underground facility and introduced to 3 representatives. The first was a human named Michael T. Ron, who turned out to be a descendant of a corporation long thought to be gone. It turns out that actually his ancestors had been exploring the galaxy and had experienced ship troubles. They had landed on a planet and shortly encountered a race that was primary underground due to all of the predatory alien life that exists above ground throughout the galaxy. This race had flourished underground and was technologically sophisticated. They welcomed the humans into their community and the rest was history.

Apparently this race actually exists on many of the planets throughout the galaxy but because they are underground they generally go unnoticed. Michael introduced us to the taller of the two aliens who was apparently an engineering professor at the main university on the planet. Professor Fenwick J. Fizzlebottom was a very cordial fellow and was extremely gentle despite his size. His associate Dr. Etienne Grenouille-Cheveux was a government representative and was equally friendly. He assured ED-208 that his weapons were entirely unnecessary, but ED-208 insisted on keeping them in case there were any "misunderstandings." Surprisingly they said that was fine and that they were a peaceful people who only had weaponry for defensive purposes.

Prof. Fizzlebottom was very excited to show us their underground transportation system, which he himself had designed. The engine was very impressive and clearly powerful. It was capable of fast speeds, could pull heavy loads, and was entirely non-polluting (which made sense since they were underground). I will say that there was a tense period though when I asked what their species was known as and they responded that they were known as the Farr-tes. ED-208 giggled every time they mentioned it, but luckily being scientists Dr. Allison and I were able to compose ourselves despite their species having a name so phonetically similar to a bodily function.

I was most impressed with their technology and they were so friendly that it made me only too happy to accept their offer of hospitality. We needed to experience all the Farr-tes had to offer so that we could better understand them. It was a great opportunity and I knew CEO pombe would certainly want us to find out more about their stealth ships that were so silent but deadly.

Extra Pics:

This all started really because I had never made a Lego train before and I wanted to try it.

These are some seriously beautiful vehicles! The plane is especially delightful.

I like how the ship combines sleek and greebly, and the shape of the ship around the thrusters.

That was one of the things I was trying to do was have smooth on the topside and more "under the cowl" type below. The wings were a huge pain though because they can't support the weight of the fighter and it would be impossible to balance the fighter on just the two points for pics anyway. I tend to not think ahead to taking pics and just make stuff. :laugh:
