[M-F02] Bugging The Lines

RRRROOOOAAAARRR!!!

- Did you hear that?

- What do you think is down there?

- I don’t know. It came from the lava tubes. Some say there is a monsterous creature that lives down there. Others say that is just an Octan security bot programmed to scare intruders.

- Here comes the bosses. Quick look like you are working!

- As you can see this has become a distraction. Our productivity is down. You know what they say. Time is Awesomnium!

- This mystery creature could pose a threat to security of our operations if not dealt with. Our scanners also show that there is an Octan communication line.

- Sounds like fun!

- We also have a piece of equipment for you. The council of five has purchased you a Pirate Hat. It is an ancient hat. It is from the New New Pittsburg Space Pirates. We had an S embroidered on the hat for you.

- Um thanks. I’m wearing my spy suit I’m not sure it’ll fit. It kind of smells like beer and peanuts.

- That’s ok. You don’t have to wear it. You don’t even need to do a piracy build to get the bonus resources.

- Here is your ride. We call it the Big Daddy. We use it to search for water in the depths of Lesser Drigo. It should be enough protection for you.

- This will do fine. I’ll be on my way

- You will see it comes equipped with a B.U.G. If you should find the Octan communications line deploy the bug and it will hack into the line and transmit all the data to us. It is very important that you find this.

Some time later

- No sign of the creature yet. I did find the Octan coms line. Deploying the B.U.G.

- Great! We are receiving the data now.

- I’m heading back up.

RRRROOOOAAAARRRR

- I think I found the creature. Attempting to capture it now.

- Squelp!!

- This little guy was the one making all that noise.

- Great lets get rid of it.

- With your permission I’d like to hang onto him. He might come in useful someday…..

– That is fine. Do what you must.

- Squelp!!

Thanks for looking. C&C is welcome. I tried a new backdrop this week. I also built a new camera tripod for my camera phone.

Note: The Spyder hover car is re-used from last week.

I really like the mech. The New New Pittsburg Pirate hat and the part with the workers were funny. What plans does SpacerSteve have with a tiny T Rex?

The mech and bug are really great too. I like the new backdrop, but your photos look a bit washed out somehow. Have you tried playing with the contrast? It can help to deepen the blacks in MANTIS builds - I often increase the contrast a bit on my photos. It seems to help with graininess somehow too. I tried it on one of yours:

The right picture just has the contrast increased a bit. It's subtle, but I think it makes a difference. Almost every photo editing program can do it. In fact, I think you can do it in Powerpoint/Word.

That mech is really great. It's so hard to build lime green M.A.N.T.I.S. stuff. (At least with my collection)
