Hey guys, it has been awhile since I have had the time to build anything, but I finally had some time

I made a transport truck for the 2H sets I plan on getting come August. It is a 8 X 4 cabover style truck. It is a basic truck, nothing really fancy, no suspension and no fancy 5th wheel hitch. I have to make a lowboy trailer for it, but that will come later.

Functions of the truck;

drive - 2 XL motors

steering- servo motor

LED

openable doors

Here are some pictures, i hope you like it. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to ask. :D

My main thing is that for an 8x4 tractor unit like you are going for, the chassis is far too long. To give you an idea, this is the chassis of the truck I am working on at the moment to go with my container sidelifter trailer:

And for a cabover like yours it would look like this:

My recommendation would be to remove the fake fuel tanks and have it so that the axle is immediately after the XL motors. Once I have my chassis built I will be able to show you how it looks. One way to make it look shorter is to make it a sleeper cab. You may also be going for a long chassis look, but I was just adding my input like this as that 8x4 tractor units are quite common in NZ so I have some experience with them :wink: Other than that it looks good, I like what you were going for and apart from the chassis length (IMO) you have pulled it off nicely, well done :classic:

Thanks for your comment Kiwi Builder

I was originally going for the extended chassis look. something like this...

now of course, this truck only has a steerable axle, but I added a second.

I will probably make the chassis a little shorter
