LordDan Posted October 5, 2015 Previously Preparing for Trouble Visiting Allies Into Nocturnus Entrance of Boneville Mage has finally completed his journey and reached the Nocturnian village of Boneville. In the town square he meets the Shadowmere ambassador and discusses the possibility of an alliance between Shadowmere and Araluen. The town square: The monument in the center of the village depicts a scene from ancient times where an unnamed skeleton hero defeated the evil wizard that ruled this land and later founded the village of Bonevile, which was named in his honor. The town square houses a bustling marketplace full of shops, including this Used weapons shop shown below. A guard watches from the walkway I would like to claim the following UoP/DoH credits: Landscape design- studs up rocks and cliffs Anthropology- life in Nocturnus C & c appreciated. Jacob Nion Posted October 5, 2015 Neat statues! Really like the rocky landscape of this town. But why have the two goblins switched their ears?
soccerkid6 Posted October 5, 2015 Great Nocty scene! I like the dramatic posing of the stone statues, and the little market stands are excellent The rocky cliff makes a nice background for the build
Captain Braunsfeld Posted October 5, 2015 Fine build - I like the monument (the ground being smashed by the war hammer).
Lord Vladivus Posted October 5, 2015 That monument is great! Lord Vladivus hopes that an alliance can be reached with agreeable terms!

halixon Posted October 6, 2015 The blue tint to the pictures hurts my eyes to look at, but the build is nice! I like the posing of the statues, and the rock work is great as well! Might i ask why the two goblin's colored ears are swapped?
LordDan Posted October 6, 2015 Thanks everyone for your comments! Neat statues! Really like the rocky landscape of this town. But why have the two goblins switched their ears? Thanks! I didn't notice that the ears were switched until you pointed out, I must have switched them by accident at some point Nice build with some great fig combos! The strange lighting works very well for Nocturnus. UoP +1 for the claims. Thanks! The "strange lighting" was not really intentional, it is because I took it outdoors in the evening. It was really windy out and I was having trouble keeping the sheet from blowing away. The blue tint to the pictures hurts my eyes to look at, but the build is nice! I like the posing of the statues, and the rock work is great as well! Might i ask why the two goblin's colored ears are swapped? The blue tint happens when I take my pictures outdoors. I improved it a little bit by brightening the pictures, but you can only brighten them so much before it starts looking bad. It was very windy outside when I was taking these pictures, so I wasn't able to take to many pictures( the background kept being blown around)
Bregir Posted October 10, 2015 Looking good, LD, especially that monument! You have been missed in Avalonia! About the blue tint. I adjust my photos (with limited luck, granted ) in windows Photos, and it allows me simple adjustments like contrast, brightness and tint Just a tip! Dr.Cogg Posted October 19, 2015 Nice build, the rock work is excellent, out of curiosity are you an Avalonian or a Nocturian ?
Slegengr Posted October 19, 2015 Nice work, LordDan! The monument looks great, as does the rockwork and general layout of the town square. The upper walkway is a great idea! For the blue tint, does your camera have a "white balance" feature? I have found this useful under different lighting circumstances, as it will adjust for incandescent or florescent artificial light and cloudy or sunny light conditions outside. LordDan Posted October 20, 2015 Thanks guys! @ Dr. Cogg - I am an a proud member of Avalonia, although I do tend to build more outside of Avalonia than in it :) @Slegengr- Thanks! I use my phone camera, which isn't that great, so it doesn't have a white balance adjuster, but download an app that lets me edit the white balance; I used it on my latest pictures and I think it helped.http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115807#entry2362234 Only the first picture really has any tint, and it was because of the shadow.
