robuko Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) D04, exploration The corporations had their disagreements, but one thing they agreed on was that Terrial minor was a featureless but perilous desert. I had The Shadow as my guard though, so I was as safe as I could be. We only had to plant the flag and get out again. We made it to the drop zone no problem. And we set off to find what we could. Ferocious gusts of wind whipped at my cape, and it was cold. We left the booster engines near the drop zone. Once we found the East Pole, it was time to plant the standard and claim this planet for Kawashita. The Shadow has much better eyesight and hearing than me, I could not even see the threat. Whatever it was passed by without encounter, and warily we set off back to the drop zone. Mission accomplished. Peace out # [something a bit different this time, outside photos and a lot of them. I was so pleased with all the different configurations and the articulation of The Shadow that I wanted to show them off. I'm travelling in Japan at the moment, can you tell? ....must be looking at too many Gundam!] Edited July 26, 2015 by robuko Quote
Ferdinando Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The mech is top-notch and I love how the complicated flag looks on him! contrasts well against the semlpicity of your sig-fig. Quote
Commander Turtle Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Nice work! Your builds are always so complex and look so delicate. The car piece works very nicely as you placed it. Very fitting that you're travelling in Japan. Bring back lots of inspiration for us Quote
shmails Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The Shadow is wonderful! I love how many positions it can be put into, loads of playability. Quote
Aliencat Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Sweet mecha, I'm digging the jetpack add-on and the standard. Nice posing on the mecha. Quote
SpacerSteve Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Great mech! I like how ornamental it is and you still get to see the bones of the mech! The jabbas palace robot eye is a neat detail. Quote
Big Sal Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Awesome mech robuko, and that's quite some flag! I'm travelling in Japan at the moment, can you tell? You took your Lego with you on your travels? That's what I call dedication Quote
Mike S Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The Shadow is pretty awesome! Looks really good with the standard too! Quote
Lady K Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Love the mech, well done robuko! The fact that the photo is outside in Japan is so very fitting for this build. I really like the overall design, so very samurai like mixed perfectly with futuristic elements! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Absolutely gorgeous, Robuko! That back banner is lovely, and the Mech itself is great too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Karl Kream Pie Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Cool robot! I like how you used the Tremor fists. Quote
Blackhawk STX Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The Shadow looks more like it came out of Sakura Wars than Gundam, but it's still well done! Maybe it's out of a Kurosawa movie... Quote
mccoyed Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Very cool robot. Also like your use of the pavement as a desert landscape. Quote
Garmadon Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Fantastic mech and flag robuko, I really like the space-samurai builds you've been building! The harpoon gun on The Shadow's arm is super sweet as well! Quote
aeralure Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Awesome mecha! Love the style - sort of a Japanese steampunk mecha. Works so well for Kawashita. I really like the banner attachment and the fact that Shadow looks great with and without the accessories. The thigh guards add a nice touch. Great stuff! Quote
pombe Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I love your style. Your builds are incredible. The aesthetics, the style, the feel, the theme...everything. And it's crazy that you are doing this while traveling! Quote
