Dr.Cogg Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 A Mummy and a Nocturnian we're sent on a mission by the Desert King to find an old abandon outpost in the Nestlands, that the Ulandians we're using as a storage cache, the two of them walked through jungles and the climbed up the mountains of the Nestlands until they came upon the abandon outpost, just when they we're about to go inside they heard voices coming from the bushes, the two quickly hid and peeked through the bushes, It was three Ulandian soldier sent to find the cache and clear it out. "why do we have to come all this way" one soldier said to the other, the Captain turns around and replies "because we don't want these supplies falling into enemy hands and we could use the items stored in the cache for are army" the soldier then asked "Do you know what was stored in the cache" the Captain replied "Yes, we stored weapons, treasure and water, for safety ". The three Ulandian soldiers almost reached the entrance to the cache, then one of the soldiers spotted a nest on top the outpost, "what kind of eggs are those" the soldier asked, Captain replied "Don't mess with those, its said that the Red Talon lives in these lands". while the Ulandians we're busy talking about the eggs, the Mummy asked the Nocturnian "How are we going to steal what in the cache" the Nocturnian reached into his top hat and started feeling around inside "What are you doing" the Mummy asked, the Nocturnian replies "Just watch" then he pulls a strange flute from his hat and begins to play. Just then the three Ulandians heard a strange noise, like the sound of a flute come from the bushes surrounding, then they heard a loud screech from the air, they looked around but saw nothing, then one of soldiers was picked up into the air and with the soldier in the giant birds talons it perched on top of the outpost, Screeching at the soldier, the Red Talon tried to peck and claw them. while the Ulandian we're busy trying to get one of their men back, the two sent by the Desert King snuck into the cache and stole all that was stored inside and left the Ulandians to deal with the Red Talon, completing a successful mission. gedren_y Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 A very important reason why the outpost was abandoned. The Ulandians should feel honored, as having your flesh fed to one of great birds is reserved for the mightiest of clansmen heroes. There are great honored dead littering that nest. Quote
