car_mp Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 The latest issue of HispaBrick Magazine is available! Good reading for this Christmas season … http://www.hispabrickmagazine.com/en/content/english-hispabrick-magazine-021 In this issue, Julian Charity, Part Design CAE engineer, will explain how the new parts used in LEGO sets are developed, and Keith David Severson will tell us something about his task in the CEE Team. We will tell you the story of LEGO Therapy and their work to help children with autism spectrum disorders. Great creators like Jarek Książczyk (Jerac), Pawel "Sariel" Kmieć, Kosmas Santosa (KOS brick), Matthias Riedel (Blacktron2011), Oton Ribic, Paulo Castanho and Sebastian Zaberca (zaberca) will show us their creations, in many different themes, from Star Wars, to ALIENS, City, Technic and many more... Our collaborators keep offering tutorials on MINDSTORMS and WeDO, MINILAND Character Builds and reviews of the latest sets and books related to LEGO constructions. We have coverage of the HispaBrick Magazine Event 2014, Brickcon 2014 and LEGO Fan Weekend 2014. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2015! Quote
nerdsforprez Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Great edition, I read it during lunch --- I would like to add one thing to the article titled "building technic cradles for non-LEGO devices". This is not new, others have done this before but it has not received as much publicity as I would have thought. THose of us who are collectors and MOCers run out of room, and mounting things to walls can save space, especially if the model is huge. I don't have room to attach any more photos, and pasting a URL is not working, but it you look at my signature block (MOCpages) you can see that the mount holds a large (3,000 + piece) Millennium Falcon MOC on the wall no problem (at least once I use wall anchors) Quote
Tarfful Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) -snip- I don't have room to attach any more photos, and pasting a URL is not working -snip- just grab the URL of the picture you want to post and wrap it in [ img ] (URL goes here) [ /img ] without the spaces.. > O anywho ~ HispaBrick is always an interesting read, not to mention the pictures.. that pic of the ISD makes a splendid cover photo! really enjoyed the section on LEGO Therapy, I did not know that that was something that existed before this. |Tarfful Edited December 16, 2014 by Tarfful Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 It is a particularly enjoyable read. One of the best features was the 'Aliens' and the various global AFOLs events. Quote
Missing Brick Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Another great issue packed from cover to cover with interesting articles. Many thanks for giving me the opportunity to contribute Carlos :) Quote
