I Scream Clone Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Infernal Equinox I have been working on this MOC to coincide with the Vernal Equinox on the 23rd of September and my promotion to History Regulator, however time and real life can conspire to a deadline, suffice to say I had some bikinis, witch hats and tentacles that I had been dying to use, and really wanted to have a crack at Stonehenge as there seems to be very few ones out there. Featuring the Sisterhood of the Hidden Mushroom as they attempt to summon their Overlord Demon from some dimension via a human sacrifice (Lets turn the sexist tables around on this one!) Don't forget the usual livestock mutilations that seem to accompany demon-summoning and watch out for the children! Pics are links to Hi-res shots. Daylight shot. Insert crazy mushroom chant here. So there you go, hope you like my little dark Castle creation. More pics on Flickr and later when MOCPages is working. Cheers, ISC. Quote
noname Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Great MOC! The landscaping is really good. I like the Stonehenge and the monster (it gives the MOC a sci-fi look). . Quote
the Inventor Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Really great work, ISC. I like the Stonehenge feel of it a lot, especially where the demon comes trough. And that demon is also great with all those eye's. I don't really like that green wizard hat because all the surroundings is also green, maybe you could replace it with a blue hat, if you have one. the Inventor Quote
Bingo Little Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 The blood sacrifices are just scary/disturbing - in a good way, of course! Awesome looking MOC, very lovecrafian - I can't help wonder if the boy and girl observing are about to be dragged into some mildly clichéd plot Quote
Cecilie Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Very cool, but also very disturbing... I feel sorry for all those poor pigs and cows Anyway, great Stonehenge And of course, I like the use of a male human sacrifice Quote
The Penguin Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Superb work, I Scream Clone! ) The landscaping is great, as well as those nice little detals like mushrooms, mud, small rocks. The way you did the stone pillars (or what are those things called?) is also terrific, with all those lines and cuts, etc.... The monster is really creepy and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the place. But what I like even more (and most MOCs unfortunately don't have it) is the feeling of action in it. You can easilly start imagining the story, how it continues..... You've made a really great sacrifice scene with all those cows and pigs, lying around, not to mention the poor crownie..... However for some reason the peasants look pretty happy (at least the girl) near an upside down cow. Great work, and I guess it just needs to be frontpaged! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Very impressive creation ISC! I love the stonehenge columns, as well as the demonic monster. The whole build effectively depicts a sacrificial scene. The pig and cow blood sacrifices also adds a nice touch to the whole scene. Quote
Duke Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Great work, and as you say a nice twist on the usual sacrifice image. Congrats on your mod-ship as well. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Thanks all for the nice comments guys and gals. Glad I could bring a little scariness into your LEGO day Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Children of the corn? You have issues my man...but this is great! So many little details throughout. Quote
Eskallon Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Another brilliant MOC from you. I especially like the look of that many eyed monster as well as the bikini wizards. The stonehenge itself also stands out as being a brilliant creation. Good work. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 It's very detailed! You did a great job adding extra little details. Like the slaughtered animals. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 Thanks guys, glad you like all the little touches. Children of the corn? I happen to live with a couple..... Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Brilliant landscaping! The Stonehenge is incredible. Really very nicely laid out, even those cult killings of the animals add in lots of details into it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Excellent Brickhenge 'ISC' or dare I say Animal......where's the drums ! I'm a conformist! always ! Quote
Big Cam Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Dang, ISC this is awesome. If it would have just been the stonhedge rocks, I'd have been impressed. But the whole sacrifice thing is just awesome. The way you created the brown path is really nice. And i do like the creepy kids in the corner, what are the yellow things in the grass, corn? Creepy. Really very nicely laid out, even those cult killings of the animals add in lots of details into it. It was touch and go as to whether I would include the slain animals, I think I am glad I did though as it adds to the sinister nature of the whole scene imho. Excellent Brickhenge 'ISC' or dare I say Animal......where's the drums ! I'm a conformist! always ! Thanks mate. The drums were already eaten by the tentacle demon of course. The drummer is always the first eaten Dang, ISC this is awesome. If it would have just been the stonhedge rocks, I'd have been impressed. But the whole sacrifice thing is just awesome. Thanks, and yes they are creepy Children of the corn. Nice rank by the way Big Cam. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) This kinda reminds me of the door of truth from Fullmetal Alchemist.... :classic: Edited October 4, 2010 by Dan the Brickman Quote
kinght II Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Children of the corn? You have issues my man...but this is great! So many little details throughout. Children peek of a minuscule bit of work Quote
GMW79 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I think the worn down dirt path is a really nice touch. All that ritualistic marching is bad for the grass. Quote
