Tobbe Arnesson Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Hi! I tried searching on the YouTube ID, "Stilzkin" and "Igniz" but could not find a topic on these stunning models!? I did found a post that he sold the red one for €500 to Switzerland: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44290&view=findpost&p=776982 This shows how the treads are built: I counted 24 segments x 3 rubber parts x 4 treads = 288 rubber parts! How the chassis made: I must say that this is probably the best MOC I've seen. Ever. It looks like so much fun! If it indeed are 24 segments for each tread, these parts are needed just for building the four treads: 192 x 3705 Technic, Axle 4 48 x 32291 Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Double 48 x 43857 Technic, Liftarm 1 x 2 Thick 288 x 45590 Technic, Axle Connector Double Flexible (Rubber) Quote
Bricksonwheels Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) THat is already an old one. He has made some nice new things after this one. Edited December 7, 2010 by Bricksonwheels Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted December 7, 2010 Author Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Yeah I know the MOC is plenty old, but I could not find any topic about it here? So I started a new one, it deserves the attention. And yes, he's done some great MOCs since as well! I just ordered the rubber parts needed for those treads... Tobbe Arnesson Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 That confirmed my parts count for the treads! I bought the rubber parts from a Swedish Dacta-supplier, 40 pcs for SEK 50,- plus VAT = SEK 1,56 per piece. That's like €0,17 and US $0,23 per piece. The item name with my supplier was "DAMPER 2M (4198367-40)". They're quite expensive at BrickLink now if you want any quantities. I suppose the LUGBULK-program would be the cheapest source. Quote

Hi, Are you referring to this site: http://elevdata.sbadmin.se/product.php?cPath=2&products_id=151 ? Thanks, Noam Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 Yes and it's the same store as I purchased from http://butik.elevdata.se/ . Dunno if they ship abroad, there's an e-mail address here: http://www.elevdata.se/Produkter/LEGO-Education/LEGO-Element.aspx . Perhaps there is a Dacta/LEGO Education-supplier willing to sell to private persons in your own country? Check here: http://www.lego.com/education/buy/default.asp?page=5&l2id=8_1 Another source would be to call TLG Customer Service and tell them you'd like to order some loose bricks, state 4198367 as the partnumber. If you go down that road, please get back here with the prices! Quote
buddy Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) This is a great creation, it doesn't only look great but is highly functional too. ~buddy~ Edited December 8, 2010 by buddy Quote
G1McKenzie Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I bought 400 rubber axle joiners and the other required pieces to make a track out of 400 pieces. the total was just under £180 for brand new pieces directly from lego replacement parts section. Quote
MarcoB Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I must say that this is probably the best MOC I've seen. Ever. It looks like so much fun! I agree with this 100%! That's why I decided to build one to myself! Now I belive I have all the parts, exept those big red dishes on the backmost wagon. Can anyone say what they are? Part of that 8510 Roborider box? Please don't tell me that I will need two of those rare sets because I think there are two of those dishes, the other is seen on the video. Quote
roamingstop Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Now I belive I have all the parts, exept those big red dishes on the backmost wagon. 8x8 radar dish... or 8x8 tile (round) or there is an even larger round plate (I need to check BL). Edited January 3, 2011 by roamingstudio Quote
MarcoB Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 8x8 radar dish... or 8x8 tile (round) or there is an even larger round plate (I need to check BL). But there's no 8x8 red dished produced. Or 10x10. And 8x8 tile is missing the axle hole. And what about that little slot on the edge of that dish? Quote
mahjqa Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 They're in here: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47676 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47675 When you build it, would you like to send me some pictures? Quote
MarcoB Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 They're in here: When you build it, would you like to send me some pictures? Thanks mahjqa! And of course I can send you pictures, but it's going to be like that red one, so not much new for you to see :) It might take a while though (I'm always busy doing a lot of different things at the same time), but I will. mahjqa Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 And of course I can send you pictures, but it's going to be like that red one, so not much new for you to see :) Well, maybe a pic with some nice Finnish forests or another landmark in the background? Take your time, and you don't have to if you don't want to :) Quote
Sam42 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 woahhh and i thought my £50 order from lego direct was a little bit too much to be spending on lego.... For the record the 6m pneumatic cylinders cost around £3.20 each before tax and u-joints, or propeller shafts as lego dub them cost around 80p... far cheaper than i could find on brickilink in sufficient quantities..... Tobbe Arnesson Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 WHEN I get around to building my own I'll make sure to include something that says Sweden in the background. Quote
MarcoB Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 The Stilzkin Igniz replica It took 1.5 years to complete this, mainly time went for collecting all the pieces. I wanted to make it little different than the red one (which I still think is more beautiful), so it became white & blue (=Finnish colors ;) And because the real thing can speed up to 80 km/h, I wanted to add a remote controlled transmission. It has two gears, and the switching mechanism is on the latter carriage (that's why it is little longer that the original one). But sadly because there was very little space, I couldn't make it to work very well Ok, it does operate, it has more speed than the original and more power with the lower gear (it can climb on the wall!), but after few gear changes, the switching gear keeps moving away from the correct position...and starts slipping. After a while I lost interst to make it better... But I'm happy with it. Image 1 Image 2 Transmission Also I had problems with creating those cool stickers. I couldn't find a sheet with transparent plastic (etc?)... Is there a topic about creating stickers here in eurobricks? Quote
mahjqa Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) Nice adaptation! Great idea to add the gearbox, and the finish flag works out very well. You asked about the stickers; the ones I used were printed by a company that does stickering for cars and store windowing and such. You might want to ask around for companies like those. Would you mind if I added your pictures to my flickr, completely credited of course? Edited March 29, 2011 by mahjqa Quote
