Kumpelkante Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Hi guys, i went to a flea market with my girlfriend today and found Police Set B form Weagle for 4€, but after some bartering we got it for 3,50€ (still to much you will see). P1010593 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr Note that the Name of the brand "Weagle" is put shamefully in the upper left corner, while there is this "TM2 to it. (as if Weagle was trademark... i even had to figure out what name this thing was called.) Also the name of the Set is "Police Set B". It's a great name for a playset isnt it. (it isnt) And also at the bottom of the front it says "Specifications Colours and contents may vary from illustrations. I am not a native speaker, but i guess it means "What you see, isnt what you get. And you will see back of the box (at least i think its the back), count the figs and keep the number in your mind P1010594 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr The side of the box: boxside von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr As i already mentioned i am not a native speaker, but i don't think this is good english. Now to the figs, P1010600 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr each fig is packed seperately, but this needs to be because they have to be assembled completely (no preassembled legs or torsos) P1010603 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr P1010604 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr Oh my god, i got a fleshy one instead of yellow figs that are on the box. But thats ok, because... you know... coulours and contents may vary from illustrations. P1010602 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr Look, this dude got two right leg. That is an interesting "variation", isn't it? Now to the model The instructions for the truck were openly in the box while the instructions for the car were contained in the plastic bag. P1010597 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr the instructions for the models are both on a single sheet of paper, printed on both sides. Both are very confusing because... you know... coulours and contents may vary from illustrations. Really the pieces in the instruction often have different colours and in some cases are different molds. Regarding the truck, you might also be confused about the sequence of building steps to the confusing layout. But i think they learned from their mistake, because the decided to design the instruction for the car in a different way. P1010614 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr P1010605 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr The pieces. Mostly standard bricks. They are compatible with Lego's but have a much lower quality. First, some parts come scratched right out off the box and second the also do not fit together very well. The latter you can also see on the box art if you look closely enough. Here are two examples of bad parts. P1010610 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr P1010611 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr The latter ones clutch very very badly. Also compare them with Lego's 1x1 brick with headlight or stud on side- (i did not bother to look for comparison as we are talking about a very common piece) The building processing itself, apart from confusing instructions and bricks, that are fighting back, was not very interesting. it was generally stacking brick on each other and the result are what i would call boxes on wheels. (btw those wheel fit very loosely and fell of several timer during the building process) so here is the finished Police Set B: P1010616 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr now compare it to the box art and try to find the mistake (and count the minifigs again, if you forgot the number) P1010619 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr P1010620 von tobiasgeserick auf Flickr By the way i forgot one thing: the set includes accesories. They come on a sprue like the accesories from other chinese clone brands. For a change they look like the ones on the back of the box. but they tend to fall out of the figs hands. (forgive me that i did not show a pic) This is just BAD! First i thought this might be slightly better than the ones i already reviewed. But it got even worse. On the other hand I didnt know that Specifications colours and contents may vary from illustrations. I think this sums it up enough. May be i shoul give mega bloks and kreo give a try. What do you think? Please share your thoughts and ask if you have any questions. btw. you could get very much high quality stuff at the flea market like "charming citty" shirts (too bad i did not take pictures) Quote
dvsntt Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 The car looks almost entirely different than the box art. Quote
Kumpelkante Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 The car looks almost entirely different than the box art. The car does? I didnt notice... i was looking at the figs. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 The car does? I didnt notice... i was looking at the figs. So does the truck. That's hilarious. There is not one thing in that set that matches the box. Quote
MikroMan Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Thank you for the daily dose of humor. Comparing the set and the box is funny to the point of facepalming Quote
N-4K0 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 (edited) ...this just makes me appreciate LEGO even more MikroMan: More like facewalling Edited June 16, 2013 by Error404 Quote
