I really think of the mindwipe-or-whatever scene with Dr. Pershing when I read this quote. It's possible we could get another Mandalorian Season 3 set. My first thought was Fives, but then I went, "We have him already..." -
Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
SpacePolice89 replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They should bring back the vintage minifigure collection packs. It would be so nice to get brand new classic minifigs. -
Nice to see they include the raven mould in a lot of sets and was not expecting the panda there. Hope that do not mean it is incensed, but most likely City paid for the mould so should not be a problem. Are dreamzzz ending after this wave? Now that they have started including animals that would be a pity

Young Leia set is actually a Zillo Beast based off BB? Characters that fit the quote: Crosshair, ISB officer, Bix Calleen, Dr Pershing and literary all the inquisitors. Edit: CX clone assassins from BB also fit this description. -

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

As much as I'd love more Andor content (and Bix is an excellent character from it), I don't think it's this. I doubt we'll get much more from Andor, and Bix isn't exactly the top of most people's lists. I mainly see the Fondor Haulcraft and a battle pack using the patrol speeder, and Bix doesn't really fit in either set. Crosshair is actually an excellent guess, since he deals with the brainwashing aspect a lot more than most clones. -

Bold of you to assume that this will be used for a category of products. I wouldn't be surprised to only see this integrated hub used for this one set. -
[POLL] The Next BIG LEGO Pirates Contest
SpacePolice89 replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
"Distant Waters" sounds like a very interesting idea. I'd like to have the soldiers fight highwaymen or bandits in a Scandinavian setting. In my area (Hangö) in the 18th and early 19th centuries the local Swedish garrison had to fight against Russian ships that were raiding the coast and burning villages as well as rebellious farmers that lured ships too close to the rocky coastline and then plundered them. All this gives me lots of ideas. - Today

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I’m looking at the sets again and noticing a couple of things; First, Mr. Oz isn’t in any of these sets? That’s actually really annoying. I was counting on him coming in something this wave so that I wouldn’t need to get either of his previous sets (don’t know what to do with the Space Bus and not a huge fan of the non-canon golden variant in the Space Car). I hope that isn’t foreshadowing something happening to Mr. Oz. Second, with the exception of Mad-teo, all of the Dark versions of the heroes are based on their S1 outfits. So now I’m wondering if the Never-Witch has somehow stolen the dream avatars of the Dreamchasers and corrupted them, and they actually need to reinvent themselves around new ‘motifs’ to continue being Dreamchasers. Hence why Izzy has gone from a knight to a ninja, Zoey has changed from bandit to spy, Cooper is picturing himself as a robot. Not sure yet how that plays with Mateo and Logan, especially since Mad-teo is following his S2 look rather than his S1 look, but it’s a cool thought and I hope I’m right. -

I expected that we would get more images of the sets we already got, but this was unexpected to have all the other sets now. -71483: this might just be my favorite set from this wave. The other sets have a surprisingly low minifigure count( 4 full minifigures in a 130 set, really?) but 5 minifgures here is great. You get the main villain and 3 of the evil clones, and all that for only $45, now this set might just be a must buy for me. The builds are also great, I might even like them all equally. The standout here is the Evil Z-blob. Also this set just feels like a ton of fun, with 3 very different builds to choose from plus all the minifgures. The value here is just amazing. -71486: It definitelly looks great and unique, however I don't think that I'd spend $200 on a Dreamzzz set. We also have more images of the previous sets. I'm still not sold on Izzie's dream animals, especially when it's $5 cheaper then the Nightmare creatures. While the main build was fine I guess, I'm comletely not a fan of the other builds. But it's great to also have 3 different build options, and the fact that you start with an egg is pretty fun. All the builds from Zoey's bike are great and they feel like a lot of fun. At $20 I might actually get this set. The alt build from the Logan the might pandy, just doesn't really feel great at all, the limbs look way too small. But the main build is great at least. After seeing all the sets I have to say that in my opinion this is the best wave of Dreamzzz. The only set that I'm not the biggest fan of are the Izzie's dream animals, but I won't even call that a bad set. The value of the set is also great, since that was a problem with that before. The only thing that I'm not a fan of, which was also in the previous waves is the minifigure distribiution. There is just too little minifigures in many of the sets. -

We might as well just say free choice. The objective is to create a distinct theme for the contest. Which in turns influences the how the contest will be marketed.

That is stunning. If I didn't know better I would say that is work by Onecase. That's about the highest praise I can bestow.

This is such an incredible build! The level of detail you included is truly astonishing. It must have taken countless hours to plan and create all the unique structures that really bring the castle grounds to life.

It's the Alfred Pennyworth/Orient Express Waiter Tuxedo, swap the white gloved hands for flesh and you've got the Gringotts/Vault GWP Goblin torso. The dark orange torso is the exclusive Misako torso from the Ninjago City Gardens.

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Okay, in addition to those three, we’ve got Castle Nocturnia and the Nightmare Creatures. Which, thankfully, does include Doom-Blob. Nightmare Creatures is a three-in-one where the main build is a smaller raven (to accompany the massive one I guess), the B-build is a winged nightmare version of Z-Blob the Robot (very ‘fallen angel’, I love it) and the C-build is one of those Nightmare Wolves we saw in the first season but never had a set of. The leftover pieces also get used for some terrain, which is so much better than just having random parts left over like like sets from the first two waves had. But Castle Nocturnia is incredible. Completely gorgeous, with fascinating sideways construction, and you can rotate it in different ways to make different towers the ‘top’. It’s a pity it only has three ‘sides’ but I’m okay with that. If I can find a place to put it, I definitely want it. ❤️❤️❤️ As for the other three, they’re all various degrees of ‘meh’? Can’t say I really care about a bigger animal build for Izzy when I’ve got Bunchu already - though the rebuild options for this one are definitely better and more varied. Good toy, good parts pack, but unlikely to be for me (unless I have an idea for a MOC involving its parts maybe). Logan’s mech panda is pretty neat but both of its figures are in other sets and I still kind of hate him as a character so unless S2 gives him a lot of redemption it’s probably a pass for me. Same for Zoey’s bike, though I’ll admit that this one is very stylish and I might get it just as a starting point for a MOC. Especially because Zoey’s secret agent look is very clean and I kinda wanna army build it just a little bit. -
We should try to convince Donnie too :)
-
Why not have all four ideas as the basis? Individual MOCs are judged on their individual designs anyway. And it gives builders a wider choice…

Hrmmmm......maybe I might need to get back into this.... .....and update my signature... lolz

Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?
Lyichir replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They didn't bring retired parts back for Legends, either, which was the part of the issue—the demand for rereleases of the old sets, which would inherently always be less authentic than the original sets, and would have to compete with both more advanced modern sets and with the authentic originals on the aftermarket... that's a heck of a lot of limitations to overcome. Probably even more limitations today, when the sets that were old in the early 2000s are now even older, with even more retired parts and fewer adult fans who actually remember them from when they were kids. Lego has definitely still managed to capitalize on nostalgia in more strategic ways, with updated redesigns like the Galaxy Explorer and Eldorado Fortress or spiritual successors like the Lion Knights' Castle, which can activate those same sorts of nostalgic memories while also being more modern, polished designs with broader appeal. I'm not convinced at all that straight rereleases would be able have that kind of appeal, any more than they did the last time Lego gave it a shot. -
Personally I'm not sure a dedicated prosthetic arm piece is totally necessary–there was a clunky sci-fi prosthetic in the old Agents theme, and hooks exist for historic prosthetics in themes like pirates. For realistic modern prosthetics, realistically the simplified form factor of a normal minifigure arm could probably still suffice in many cases (maybe in a different color or with printing to make it look more artificial). Then again, Friends recently introduced Autumn (a character with a limb difference) and a prosthetic hand piece for her, so I guess something similar could potentially be done for minifigures as well.
