42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance
Paul B Technic replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This whole thing makes me really sad :( -
I need these! The armour is amazing, and it not only matches all three of the main colours (plus the three darker “command” colours), but also serves as a great generic Space armour piece (something that I have been wanting for a while)! The alien head is really good (it reminds me of the Benzites), and the new torso looks excellent as well! I see the new torso as more of a jumpsuit worn in pressurised areas, than as a proper spacesuit. I plan to use it for scientists, control tower crew, space station personnel, etc.

That sure is a heartbreakenly beautiful design. If you wanted, you could turn it into a small town.

MOD - LEGO Technic 42178 - Slope Tractor C Model
Paul B Technic replied to Paul B Technic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
42178 - Slope Tractor Attachment - Trailer This trailer is an attachment for the C model of LEGO Technic set 42178. This is mounted to the rear of the tractor and can be raised and lowered via it's own hitch. -

Looking at this abomination, I think it could make more sense if they would do something like make a hub with one servo motor and connectors for motors and batteries (plural) in a way that the battery has the form factor of a large motor. For an RC car it could be like putting two batteries for better power output - one per drive motor, or something like that, and better distributing the batteries in smaller form factor. But this... this needs to go, don't buy it - vote with your wallets ;D -

[Rockwail HSS] Sculptor at work: statue for the King
zoth33 replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build. I like the scaffolding that you put around the statue. Nice use of tiles and bricks to get the statues shape. -
Honestly that's such a wonderful colour, even though on paper it perhaps doesn't seem like a fit. Though I'm more taken by your use of hinge bricks for column detailing on the walls - it's not a technique I've seen used before, and yet it seems like it should have been so obvious!

Excellent build. I really like the cobblestone pathway inside the castle. The texturing of the castle is nice and i like the little pieces of sand blue and dark tan. The vines add a pop of color. The archways with the dark grey look great. The tudor buildings are a nice touch and the wood framing looks great. The layout of the interior really stands out with the coblestone and the patches of green. All of the stalls and livestock pens bring the castle to life. I like the training grounds and the statue are also nice details. Congratulations on a really great build.

MOC series (or a theme) - Offroad adventure trucks, trailers and home base
P6tu replied to P6tu's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you =). It was fun and intense process. Unfortunately it seems that the base was a bit too much to chew and now the process has halted quite a lot :(... The energy crystal adventure has somewhat faded to the past and now he is more into other builds. In addition, I'm not being informed very much about his Lego city ongoings at the moment, but I have noticed female minifigs appearing to the city. Concidering the fact that my son is nearing to that 12+ age, so there are probably some other backstorys developing that do not want me to interfere that much any more :D. -
LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Lion King replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Without seeing pictures, I dad comments it sounds like 3 new sets amazing to me! I didn’t expect to see red panda mold showing in that Izzy’s Dream Creatures. It’s really interesting to see molded creatures a ew more than buildable creatures in Wave 1. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Accio Lego replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
To be fair, there’s that grey period where third party retailers will either upload photos early or as metadata and we’ll get ahold of the before lego does the official reveal. There are some Dreamzzz sets that just leaked which I’m pretty sure happened via that method since there’s only shots of the box art so far. It’s far from the first time we’ve gotten lower quality pics of sets just a little while before lego puts the more detailed high res shots on their own website. -

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
starlego98 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
some sketches from queen amidala and boss nass from the upcoming book have been surfaced on instagram, they are the same as the characters from the lego star wars 2005 video game, it's interesting to see that back in the time lego thought about including them in some sets and later they were used as reference for the game -

Seeing this hub... well, I'm a bit speechless, to say the least. Trying to figure out the benefits. Lighting is one of them, okay. Maybe it's really good for tank steerings, so you don't have to route the cables of the motors, but they are in a fixed position. It gives a core stability to the shell (or structure, if there's any), but it's quite a big chunk. -
I tend to use CPC (https://cpc.farnell.com/c/tools-maintenance/storage) - I prefer to use compartment boxes and they've always had consistency and availability of my preferred sizes. They do pretty much any style you can think of and free delivery (over £20) too.
