  2. Oh I agree about dioramas it's just a question of how many other people actually appreciate this art. I personally just got the Endor one. I understand where you are coming from, but I guess my own appeal with nostalgia is to have things I had in my childhood as in playsets and figures while things like helmets didn't really exist so it's not doing anything for me if that makes sense. Ofc anything can work, but will those things actually sell well? My point in comparing it with helmets wasn't about them being niche, it was about understanding a lot of people will want Boba, Vader, Stormtrooper, Mandalorian helmets, but if you are going to get to something as obscure as Boushh helmet in just 3 years that will sell horribly you will quickly be ending the sub line. Same thing will happen to these sets in my opinion. Give it 3 more years and 9-12 more of these sets and they will quickly get to some pretty obscure stuff that just won't sell. How many people outside of the super-fan forums can even recognize half of the sets on your list?
  3. A completely off-topic, but since it came up, I have the urge to ask: why is it bad for TLG to have leaks? I mean, on one hand, the people who follow these leaks are the minority of the consumers, and even if they decide to not buy a leaked set, it doesn't affect TLG's sales that much, I imagine. On the other hand, if there's a promising upcoming set, it can hype up sales quite well, too. I follow the Star Wars topic every now and then, but if Renown will be gone, my heart will be broken :(
  4. Looks like we get Sabine Wren with the LSW Magazine at some point. Brick Clicker shows a picture of the paper bag in his video. I have so many Mandalorians from the magazines already Enough to populate the whole of Mandalore!
  5. Well done! The engineering seems to work great and so cleverly hidden you'd think it's nothing more than a display piece at first. PS: I can't believe nobody shared a token of appreciation for this. With all the complaints about Lego only releasing cars and trucks I would have expected more excitement for something unique and inherently technical like this.

    Lego City 2024

It still sounds expensive imo. But if the amount of stuff and/or piece count is sufficient then it's fair enough. I can imagine those three cars going for ā‚¬15 to ā‚¬20 each and that transport going for like ā‚¬40 on its own (as it does apparently accommodate 6 cars) so it kinda adds up.

Probably the angle. Generally with GWP sets, Lego doesn't use new pieces exclusive to the sets.

Is It Possible To Reintroduce Old Sets?

For me, the value of older sets is that they are old and vintage and have survived rather than the play value. We have seen with bricklink, people want age appropriate parts to restore their sets. They tend not to want to use modern parts to restore an old set. If LEGO were to re-release vintage sets instead of modern updates, I really wonder who they are for. They are not for the vintage collector and they are not for the modern kid. That leaves the nostalgic adult that remembers the sets but doesn't care about authenticity. No doubt there are reasonable numbers in that group now. But as they don't care about authenticity then design changes to use modern parts should be fine. However, I prefer what they did with GE and LKC, scaling them up to match the growth in the builder.

    Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Gold Iron Man / Mark 21 Iron Man (Fits for the 20th anniversary/Iron Man 3) Winter Soldier Captain America with arm/leg print (Captain America 2) Thor with his chainmail arms/legs from either (Thor 1 or Thor 2) Hawkeye as Ronin (Avengers Endgame) Black Widow (The Black/Gray/Silver/Gold suit from Black Widow) The only one that would be difficult to justify would be a Bruce Banner figure, though they could do the mid-transformation version and give more detailing to the pants and muscles.

Is it just me or are the helmets different on the sides? Maybe it's a print on the head that makes it look that way or the angle of the picture?

Our dark lord must arise to take his rightful place as the Lord Of The Sith. The other two are honestly my current predictions for the R2 KT set. (But as an add on to the Tantive Hallway.) If Lego did do that Iā€™d hope they include normal stormtrooper bodies as well as rebel friend.
  21. Agreed. I definitely do like the reliability and certainty of other leakers, but having some riddles on this little corner of the Internet was also great to have. Hopefully Lego doesn't take out anyone else... Assuming we're reading this correctly and we're not all getting sentimental over nothing!

Renown has corrected/clarified hints before, and he hasn't been on in the hours since his comment. While it's definitely possible that they got him, there's still hope. If they did get him, it is sad though. By far my favorite leaker- had fun with it with the quotes without trying to spread a single piece of info out over a full livestream or make himself a brand.
  23. If this is the case, it'll be the end of an era. RIP šŸ˜
  24. Looking through Renown's profile, there are some other smaller quotes from other sources/the Bible. Though I don't think that any of them were a direct tease for a character - moreso in response to a Eurobricks user. So, sadly, it may be a sign that Renown (or Renown's source) has gone dark... If, so, thanks for the fun teases you have given, @Renown!
  25. it fits but doesnt stay in Funnily enough, in 2011 I was the first person to think of using just the outside hub so I had no choice but to break the inner hub in order to remove it then again for another one so I had 2 for the front wheels. I then put the subpart on bricklink after admin approval. I wanted to put 3L UV joints in it, which worked but the whole thing was very flimsy. Now, technic has evolved much more thankfully.

    Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

It's the 65th anniversary for the movie as well this year so you would think they'd prioritize a set that would actually honor the original film rather than a minidoll set they can release anytime as part of the DP theme. The dragon thing sounds like the only plausible explanation that it might clash with D&D. Like how Gringotts was spaced out the year before D&D since that also has a dragon. I know people were hoping for another Peter Pan style set, themed to BATB, but I have a feeling it was that Pan was a one-off like the train set with the parade floats. That also had people speculate we would get similar sets with more parade floats themed to different movies. Honestly, I'd be surprised if either set sold well enough to warrant more. The Pan set especially was way too overpriced. The lack of Michael and John, the most generic Nana, the scaled down versions of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell which you can get in a much cheaper set, and Wendy not even getting her hairbow, were all enough reasons to avoid this set.

Per Brick Clicker, Malak, Fives, Saw, Cal, Nien Nunb, and Young Leia are the main six figs. R2-KT is an "unofficial" anniversary fig that will be Lego exclusive/limited release (like the Obi-Wan 20th Anniversary fig). The droid will still have an anniversary stand.
