  1. Hello all Just the one model this time. The Ahsoka collection has taken a bit of time due to the recent Bricklink issues............ The latest issue of the LEGO Star Wars Magazine supposedly has a mini model of Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter: Yes, really, that is supposed to be Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter. Even if you use your imagination (like you are supposed to do with LEGO) and give the designer the benefit of the doubt, er no! . Basically it’s a re-coloured TIE Striker. As a MINI builder I know the limitations of these small models but really! This is just lazy and no-one would know what it was if it didn’t have it printed on the bag. The cockpit section is way too tiny compared to the wings for starters and there should be wings/s-foils top and bottom. I have had this one on my to do list for a long while but I have not got round to it but this just made me want to do a proper job on this one when my son brought this home and told me what it was! Rant over, now to the model! 😊 The cockpit is 3 studs wide not 2, and I have used the 3x3 cone as the back of the cockpit. This is all held together with a bar through a 1x1 brick with studs on 2 sides. The wings are angled forward using those rounded 1x2 plates so you can turn the wedges. I also really like how the 2x2 wedges at the back of the wings sit snuggly against the cone so there is no gap. The foils may be slightly too big but are much better than having none and overall the model’s proportions are almost spot on to the source material. Colour wise I have used green not dark green as the cone piece is not available in dark. There are probably too many pieces for a magazine gift model but this shows what can be done. Let me know what you think. Jon Full Bricksafe gallery can be found here with loads of other models: https://bricksafe.com/pages/obijon
  2. Hi all. I started this little project as soon as I saw pictures of the Dagobah Jedi Training set, already into the swing of sub 30cm builds I thought the little piece of wing protruding from the swamp would be an ideal starting point for an X-Wing. This modification is a combination of a small stand (in the boardered diorama style) with my Midi X-Wing, plus some swampy decoration. The swamp-stand can connect to the Dagobah set by removing one of the silver grill tiles and using the protruding studs for the connection, or the stand can also sit seperately. The Dagobah set's bit of wing can be hidden behind Yoda's hut and the hinge area conveniently disguised with a single piece of foliage. I've put together instructions and parts list for the mod and X-Wing (which can be built as a mod of 75301), they're all in a zip file here. Thanks for looking!

    [MOC] Midi-Scale Razor Crest

"I like your ship. She's a classic. Razor Crest, am I right?" My Midi-Scale collection keeps expanding with more than a classic piece of spaceship, the legendary Razor Crest from The Mandalorian. Made of 1,230 pieces, 30cm long, this baby ST-70 Gunship has a total of... zero stud across its entire surface, making it a true 100% SNOT build. At such a size, replicating all the complex angles and features of the original model required advanced SNOT techniques. I really wanted to push the limits of what could be done at such a small scale. Capturing the tapered body also required making a very compact 2 stud wide structure that could still hold everything together securely. The ship has two display modes, "in-flight" with its canted stand, and "landed" with easy-to-install landing gear. Hope you like it! ► Instructions for the Razor Crest are available at BrickVault. 4. Hello there It's been an awfull long time since I posted something over here. This is a custom projects I started years ago and finally finished (more or less, I still have troubles making decent pictures). The main theme is still the same, Duplo duo's. I used supersculpey for Yoda's head and Luke's hairpiece. For Luke's lightsaber I modded an antena with miliputt. At first I gave Yoda a cape, trying to do so in "the spirit" of Lego Duplo, but it didn't work well at all. So I just inspired myself by the minifigure. Hope you like it.

    [C-model] Yoda's Mech (alternate build 75168)

I got Yoda's Jedi Starfighter a while ago as a gift from a friend. I normally make c-models of Technic sets, so initially I wasn't sure what to do with this after building the main model (other than a Tulip!). This set has a range of Technic pieces so it was familiar but also a nice change. There no ball joints that are usually associated with Lego mechs but I thought I could still manage a range of motions. I built the frame first using the Technic pieces before adding the decoration. In the end I managed to create knee, hip and shoulder joints and the model is reasonably stable and pose-able. The Mech is equipped with missile launchers, force blasters and can transform into a flying mode, allowing Yoda to soar over rough terrain. It can crouch down for easy access to the cockpit.I quickly settled on the design for the feet and arms which shaped the way the build turned out. The knee and hip joints were revised a couple of times before settling on the current version. The wings are actually an important part of the model to ensure it remains balanced. 7. What do you think of this minifigur? Is the figure in the bag original or fake? I have a few doubts, because the paper in the bag looks different in other pictures (text distance at the top) and the bag itself.
  8. Here's a small playset idea. I've had it on the back burner (please excuse the dust!) not really sure if it 'works' or not, but it's kind of unbelievable that Lego hasn't given us this in an official set yet. This represents a quarter of the room... it would take a minimal investment to create another 1/2 or make a full circle but I'm not sure it's necessary. It was important to me that the senate pods were simple and small. They should be able to to whipped around by Yoda and Palps. I had some color in them but they didn't look right. I think all medium stone grey is the way to go. I'd like to see an official set like this around the $30 price point, a la carbonite chamber. Thanks for looking. Feedback welcome.

    [MOC] Yoda

Hello, I am not posting in this forum very often, because sculpture is my main suspect. And although I am a fan, unfortunately Star Wars is not so convenient for my building style. So here is my latest creation. It is nearly lifesize (lacking 4 cm).

    Kaskyyyk MOC help

Hey so I'm building a Kashyyyk MOC and I need some help with the tree. Can I have sort of idea on going about this.
  11. Hey everyone, this is my 32x64 moc inspired in the battle of Kashyyyk. I used mods of the sets: 7929, 75036 to improve the moc. Any suggestions? Lego Star Wars: MOC Battle of kashyyyk, on Flickr Lego Star Wars: MOC Battle of kashyyyk, on Flickr

    7194 UCS Yoda refresh

I have a long term project of “refreshing” all of the UCS sets, so that any unique or rare parts are replaced with modern and readily available alternatives. I initially dismissed 7194 as impossible due to the use of sand green bricks for Yoda’s skin. Many parts were virtually unique to the set, and the much sought-after 3450 Statue of Liberty (the only other major sand green parts pack) had driven the prices of even used bricks to an insane high. I tried changing the skin to Olive Green but the limited parts selection and the lack of snot bricks made this impossible. I was about to give up entirely, when I saw the beautiful 70612 Ninjago Movie Green Ninja Mech Dragon. Featuring sand green 2x2, 2x3 and 2x6 plates, and with other 1x4, 1x3 and 1x2 plates available from various sets released in the last couple of years, I thought I might just be able to pull this off. I did. The original set was released in 2002 and contained 1075 parts. Unusually for a UCS set, there was no formal "ultimate collector series" name on the box, and no plaque to accompany the model. My update preserves the look of the original and weighs in at 1202 pieces. The head has been completely redesigned - it is visually identical to the original, but it uses a completely different selection of pieces drawn from the current palette of sand green parts. A few rare sand green parts have unfortunately had to be left in: 1x1 plates haven’t been seen in sand green since 2004, but I got the number down from 33 to 11, 2x2 corner plates, last seen in 2011, I got the number down from 78 to 4. The remaining ones serve a structural purpose and cannot be removed. I also had to leave in the 2x2 plates with rails to preserve Yoda’s ridged noise and mouth. These were last seen in the 2014 set 10241 Maersk Line Triple-E, which is a collectible set but the part is at least relatively easy to get. The body is largely unchanged, except that the dark orange bricks have been replaced with more readily available bricks (mainly 1x2 and 1x6). To allow these changes, the model introduces a few extra structural parts (shown here in bright yellow). These are not visible from the outside and any available colour can be used; my preference is for dark bluish grey. It should also be noted that the old greys used in this set have been updated to the modern bluish greys, and the old brown used for Yoda’s walking stick has been changed to the modern reddish brown. You can view this model on mecabricks, and download the LDD file from bricksafe. I haven't made an instruction manual since these brick built sculptures don't seem to be very popular amongst the fans, but Ill put one together if there's enough interest. Disclaimer: This is a digital MOC/MOD of the 7194, and has not been tested in real life with real bricks. While every effort has been made to ensure that the bricks would interlock securely, this may not always be the case and the final assembly may turn out to be very fragile.
  13. Hi All Long time reader, but first time topic starter :-) Thank you for a great forum. I need some help getting started - I love to build, but lack talent in designing the models. How did you begin when you first started building your own models using LDD? I have decided to create a double sized Lego Yoda using LDD. My initial plan was to hire someone on this forum to help me, but I understand this is not allowed :-) I want Yoda to be roughly 130cm from head to toe. He has to be able to stand on his own unassisted Has to be in one of the poses linked below: Do you guys have any ideas? Cheers

    Lego Force Ghosts

As everyone knows, you cannot find any force ghost figures, and they are figures that everyone wants Lego to make. So, This weekend I decided to 3D print the force ghosts from episode 6. I created Anakin, Obi Wan, and Yoda. I had to edit a few of the part designs to make them work, but in the end they turned out good. First I printed out a statue that couldn't move and drew on a face for Obi Wan (this isn't the finished one) http://m.imgur.com/0bJTQxh?r Next I printed out a body and head for a regular figure and painted on a face for Obi Wan and printed out a Yoda head and painted it too. (Only could find a Clone Wars version, but it still looks good). http://m.imgur.com/GHUljho? Then I tried printing out legs, but the pegs for them wouldn't connect into the connector. So, I had to modify short legs so they would be longer and not have a connector, so it would not have be able to fit a peg in. As you can see I had to find the correct scaling (ones too big, ones too small). http://m.imgur.com/JuxUx2o?r Finally I edited arms so that the hands would permanently be stuck in (just a preference). And I worked on Anakin and painted his face and drew on his scar. http://m.imgur.com/3RYQfNE?r Out of all of them Yoda or Anakin are my favorites. Obi Wan is going to have to have a different face, because his eyes are too far up and I can't put his hair on all the way without them not showing up. I will update you guys when I fix him. This all required tons of sanding for the connections and everything, like the head peg, the legs, and arms. I'm pretty satisfied how they all turned out. I am thinking of making a Qui Gon Jinn ghost in the upcoming days. Here's pictures of each individual figure http://m.imgur.com/vOWJ57V?r http://m.imgur.com/6yuPv8c?r http://m.imgur.com/cQgSOuR?r

    [MOC] Encounter on Dagobah

This is a set TLG has not made since 2002, and I feel it really needs to be remade. The false 2016 rumor, which turned out to be Yoda's CW Jedi Starfighter, was particularly disappointing. Here is my take on it. It could very well be a $25 set. You can remove the roof to see the interior. Plus the walls fold open! You can see Yoda's bed and his pot of food. Here's the view from the entrance :) C&C Welcome! Cheers! VaderFan2187

[MOC] Senate Duel -- Help needed!

One thing I like to do is make MOCs, but design them as if they were official sets. One example here is my Senate Duel MOC: However, it has no play features at all, apart from the ability to slide around (thanks to boat bottoms) and the ability for minifigs to sit down, both of which are very bland. The ability for minifigs to sit down could be advertised as a play feature, but I still need 1-2 more. Does anyone have any ideas? :) Thanks in advance, and no, clipping stud shooters on the side is not an option VaderFan2187

    Lego Donald Trump Parody

Hello, Here's my last Funny Video in Lego. It's about Mr Donald Trump. Enjoy!

  20. Hello there, I would like to show you my latest MOC. I've built this MOC for the Community Build: SW The Clone Wars. It shows a scene from the first episode of the first season of The Clone Wars. See Wikipedia In this scene you can see Master Yoda fighting desperately with a group of droids. It seems as if the Jedi Master will lose this fight, but the three clone troopers are going to help Master Yoda by shooting at the mountain with a rocket launcher. This will bury the droids under a tons of rubble. You can find all pictures on flickr I hope you enjoy this MOC Best regards konze
