Hey there customizers! I had myself a bit of fun tonight, messing around with my own bit of customization and thought you all might get a kick out of the results. I've long held an idea to expand my mini-fig army by incorporating custom helmets made from card stock. When you actually have money to spend on Lego, official head gear isn't that expensive but with no budget for actual helmets I figured this would be a great way to equip my solders while adding a personal touch. Where does the ring wraith fit in? Well this fella is a prototype and why not a Nazgul? I decided to just give it a shot and started with a paper template. That template came out so well I just had to keep going. Being just an experiment I didn't want to try for too much detail, but the model is based on Witch-king of Angmar as appears in The Return of the King. Materials other than Lego include: Printer paper, Elmer's glue, recycled cardstock, a cocktail sword and sharpies for color. I did the design by hand, but have the blank yet so I could scan it in if anyone really wants it. It's super easy to create though so I don't imagine they'll be much demand. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think below. More Images Here.

Hi everyone, now I want to show you my Minas Morgul project. I hope you enjoy. ;-) (click on the main image to get to my project on ideas.lego.com) Please click on the images to see the lager version. You can see more images of this project (and my other projects) on my flickr page. Functions: This mighty fortress includes 2.603 bricks. The inner part of the fortress, the bridge with the 2 staues and the ramp can be removed. You can connect the ramp with the fortress. There are 4 catapults on wall and they have many ammunition. My thought is that the green transparent bricks on the wall, will glow in the dark. The bricks could look like white bricks at daylight. (like the spiders of mirkwood does) There is the throne of the Witch king inside the tower. Weapons, armor and some magic potion are placed in the tower. Figures: Frodo Baggins Samwise Gamgee Gollum the Witch-king of Angmar 1 Fell-beast Gothmog the lieutenant of Minas Morgul 5 Morgul-orcs @all viewers: Now it's up to you. Vote for my project and make the dream come true. Please look at my other projects, sare these with your friends and support these. The ONE Thing You Want to See from LotR Before it Ends
Deathleech posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Right now it doesn't appear we will be getting a 2014 LotR wave and the theme may possibly be done. I am hopeful we will get a wave next year as there is just too much missing. If not though, what would be the ONE thing you want to see come from the LotR theme? This can be anything not done yet.. a minifigure, a structure, a creature (brick built or molded), etc. Basically what is the one thing you would want to see before the line ends? Personally I think it's a Gondor Soldier for me. A nice Gondor printed torso would all me to make my own Pippin and Faramir in Gondor attire as well as obviously covering the one big faction still missing from the Middle-Earth Lego universe. Eowyn can be created using existing parts and a Balrog/Fel Beast/Mumakil can all be brick built and MOC'd. Really the only major character that can't easily be re-created is the Witch King, though technically we could have him in his normal Nazgul hooded form and we will get his ghost form with the Hobbit wave. I feel like Lego not making a Gondor soldier does not leave us with any easy options to make our own since the white tree print and helm are so unique.- 64 replies
