This is my rendition of a medieval castle and village in springtime. It features a church, blacksmith, windmill, and watermill. I hope you enjoy the colors and textures as much as I do! I ve being thinking for a while to share with you my Lego Ideas Mocs... and I ve being hesitant. Well I decided to go ahead and do it!!! These is my latest moc and I m planning to upload the others too :) https://ideas.lego.com/content/project/link/3c993b46-9c04-400b-a633-86dd613463cc Based on several Japanese Traditional Watermills, this modular structure works both manually or with added Power Functions. It is made from 2073 Lego bricks, 3 minifigures and PF are also included in the count. When I began my research into Japanese Traditional Architecture I became fascinated with its Watermills... Such simple structures but at the same time so intriguing mechanisms that perform a simple task of grinding! My Working Watermill With Interior & Power Functions consists of the roof, a ground floor and a basement. The big Mill turns either by turning the crank on the rock in the river or by power functions that can be added in the basement. It creates movement in the mechanism found on the ground floor. If PF are not added the basement works as a storage for the seeds that are harvested and awaiting to be grinded. This would make a great set as I feel a working watermill is something missing from Lego sets. Its is very playful and could be easily added in a modular landscape. I m currently in the process of gathering bricks and hopefully before the end of the year I will be able to make it a real-life model! I would like to thank my dear friend @Patgeo for helping me work out and simplify the gears and power function mechanism!!!

My first model of 2018, this is based off of the watermill located in Riverwood from the game Skyrim. It is meant to be viewed from all sides, and has a completely irregular border. I took inspiration for the landscape colors from Wochenender and his incredible Jernsteein creation, while the water wheel was based off of Brick’s design. The trees are again taken from the tutorial by Chris. Finally getting around to posting this model here. This completes the small storyline I had started a while ago, as well as finally finishing Age of Mitgardia! Previous story installments: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. Dedan, Glorfindel, and a new man dressed in dark blue robes made their way to the watermill at Firoir. A few of the villagers were around, and were obviously curious about the three visitors. Some had heard of a confrontation between Glorfindel and their Lord Tuinis, and wondered what it meant for the Officer of Valholl to have returned. Firm steps could be heard upon the wooden walkway over the river as Lord Tuinis approached, flanked by three Mitgardian soldiers. And it was obvious from the guard's gleaming weapons and armor that they were not any of the local troops under Tuinis' command. As he neared the small group, it was clear to all that his rage was barely contained. "What is the meaning of this, Sir Glorfindel," blustered the man, placing sarcastic emphasis on the term sir. "Invading Firoir with armed troops is no small matter, and I will have you brought before the Valholl Council and banished from Mitgardia!" Glorfindel answered with just a hint of a smile, "That will not be possible, Tuinis." "Further insults! Let everyone here be witness to the fact that this man has not even had the decency to properly address a lord of Mitgardia." "Your status as lord has been revoked, and the Parliament has also removed your control of Firoir." This statement from Glorfindel was brought with a fleeting moment of terror on Tuinis' face, before his usual arrogance returned. "Lies!" He spat back, "You have merely brought some of your own lackey troops, and used armed force to take this town!" At this point the oldest of the three soldiers spoke up: "I am Captain Mattr, and can assure you that this was all done on behalf of the Valholl Council, I am not on any orders from Sir Glorfindel." "You will find all of the legal documents in order," said Dedan, as he extended a sealed letter towards the former lord. "Those papers also instate Vigr here as the new lord of Firoir," added Glorfindel, gesturing the man robed in blue. Tuinis had a nasty glint in his eye as he made his parting statement before the guards escorted him to the prisons of Valholl, "I can see your trickery was thorough, but be assured that you will not escape this debacle unharmed!" The villagers breathed slight sighs of relief at the man's departure, though they dared not hope their new lord was any better of a man. In time Vigr did gain their respect, and also that of the neighboring lord's who were only too happy to see their troublesome neighbor replaced. See more pictures on Brickbuilt C&C always welcome .

Hello fellow humans! Here is a build that i completed very early this year, after dedicating many, many hours to it over last year. When I was a kid, I always wanted to build a large tree house out of LEGO but never had the parts or the disposable income.. Now, I have both of those things, I thought it was time to get it on the drawing boards. I would have posted it heaps sooner, but these pics were taken for Bricks CULTURE magazine #6 and wanted to do the right thing by them and hold off until the next edition was out. As I'm still getting used to uploading images and yet to tweek the RAW ones to a usable file size, this is all i have for you to check out here.. Though if you'd like to check out some of the finer details and the rear side, please jump over to my Flickr account here and have a squiz! There is quite the philosophical story behind it all, but I'll leave that for the pages of BC. Thanks to Cristian Brunelli for the great photographic shots, as my camera, if you could call it that, wouldn't stand up to the task in the state of my studio. Oh yeah, just by the by, the chairlift, waterwheel and waterfalls all move thanks to the Power of a single XL PF Motor and a string of gearboxes.. And I'd be more than happy to prove it to you, if someone has some footage.. I was lucky enough to get these shots! haha! Anywho, Enjoy.

The landscape for this scene was built as a commission, and then I finished the build by adding some houses, the fences, and figure activity. After learning that medieval roads often had fences or walls to allow animals to be moved effectively, I wanted to include that detail here. Brother Steven inspired the woodwork on the water mill. This is an entry into the large miscellaneous category of the Colossal Castle Contest. Market day makes for a lot of traffic on the village road as animals are taken to be sold, or purchased and brought home. The watermill is also a popular location as villagers purchase flour and bring grain to be ground. As usual, there are more pictures on brickbuilt. Your feedback is always welcome

Good morrow to you, Eurobricks! The present day I giveth thee a 378-piece model formulated off of a watermill from medieval times! It includeth three minifigures- two evil knights and a miller who eke worketh as a blacksmith. The setteth itself includeth an assortment of interactivity and functions! This is the exterior of the watermill. As thee can see, tis very fusty and worn, with much of its structure appearing through the outer stonework, and foliage of various sorts adorning the walls. The back of the model. Hither thee can see the outer defense which comprises of a minuscule catapult, and the second floor's blacksmith shop. Thee can eke see the mill wheel and a very-poorly guarded hatch of sorts. I ponder what 'tis hiding? Aye! The panel swings upward to reveal a rare and most precious chest holding the mill's treasure. Thither beest a spider looking to maketh its home within the dank cellar! Hither we eke see the gear system that is hath used to rotate the mill wheel. The activator resides at the apex of the tower aside o' the catapult. I asketh thee to giveth me any thoughts, comments, criticisms, and appraisal that thee wish to giveth! I wilt fain lend mine ear to it.

Hey guys! This my latest MOC, a freebuild. Continuing their trip thru Vanhorn’s enchanted forests, Adam and Terryn stumble across a very strange and old watermill, with crumbling walls and a curved roof. Tiered, hungry and with the darkness of the night coming quickly, they decided to ask if they can spent the night… Here are some photos, that, again, where a pain to take.
