  1. Built for Brickscalibur 2022 - Medieval Micro category. Hope you'll like it
  2. Haunted A-Frame Cabin While I'm looking forward to the see my A-Frame Cabin on the shelves of the LEGO stores worldwide as it has been chosen as one of the next LEGO IDEAS sets (I still can't believe it...), I built a spooky variation of the rustic house based on the 2012 LEGO Monster Fighters series. It is a kind of tribute to the MF Haunted House released in 2012 by TLG. Size and shape are basically the same as the A-Frame Cabin, colors, details, setting and Minifigures are completely different. If you take a deeper look, you can spot many references and Easter eggs directly related to the LEGO horror theme. The gramophone, the trunk with the top hat, the glass dome with a bone inside are all objects from the MF set. The gate is also a clear tribute to the Haunted House. And take a look at the zombie heads above the gate columns, do you remember where they were in the MF set? Last but not least don't miss the magic Bat Moonstone of Lord Vampyre, the villain of the series. Enjoy and happy Hall🎃ween!
  3. Mod of set 75951 Grindelwald's Escape given a gothic makeover.
  4. Abram Lincoln, Vampire Hunter Centuries before his more famous descendant, Abram Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, stalked the mountains of Transylvania looking for, Neferata, the vampire who killed his younger brother. Weeks of traveling and following rumors have brought him to this small castle in the mountains. Perhaps he will have is revenge tonight. This is the first actual castle I’ve built in quite some time. While not colossal, it is my entry into the Vampire Castle Category of the 2020 Colossal Castle Contest (CCC XVIII). Window Technique The hardest part of makin this MOC was getting the stained glass windows to line up. I needed to use some 3185 Fence 1 x 4 x 2 and some 3633 Fence 1 x 4 x 1 pieces as I didn’t have enough of either. Due to the size restrictions, the windows were 2 studs wide and spaced every two studs. The following images explain how I centered the ‘open’ part of the fense in the gaps. The horizontal transparent pieces are required to hold the center sections together. I am submitting this for The University of Petraeas' Doctorate of Historica program in the following subjects: Architecture → Roofing Style 3 (Sideway, Alternating Cheese Slopes) Architecture → Roof rakes Architecture → Advanced windows and window frames

    Black Coach - Warhammer

Hi! Want to share my newest MOC inspired by Warhammer Fantasy Battle universe - Black Coach from Vampire Counts army. Black Coach by BardJaskier, on Flickr Hope you like it. ;)
  6. Pumpkin is significant symbol of Halloween. Combing Pumpkin and skeleton horse carriage will be excellent idea. The cabin of carriage is pumpkin shape with two eyes and nose on it. There are two doors can be opened. Three skeletons and one big boss, vampire included in this set. One skeleton will operate this carriage, two other guarding at the back. Four skeleton horses are pulling the carriage. Between those two at the front and two at the rear can be turned. The carriage front wheels can also be turned. The flexible setting can let you set the model in different position. I believe this model is definitely good for kids to play for long time, and a great decoration for Halloween. This model total pieces count is 355. I hope you will like and support this project. 7. Hello everyone! Today i present to your attention my new long-term construction - Old Victorian Vampire Mansion! It all started in 2016, when I wanted to "increase" my most favorite set 10228 Haunted House, which, not counting little size, was perfect stylistically! But to increase it, leaving in the same performance, was not interesting to me. I watched a lot of works on this topic on the Internet and finally formed an image of the acting model in my head. Next, I counted the budget and ... postponed it to "later"))) It was lucky that my LUG join Lagbalk last year. There, I ordered the most costly part - bricks modified with masonry. The exact amount used did not count, but the figure is about 1000 bricks (in the equivalent of 1x2). A year waited for those brics and now the moment of assembly has come. The second inaccessible element was the skeletal legs, which were used as decor on the roof (there are about 150 of them). After several Bricklink-orders the house was ready. It has all 4 walls (the back part is quit simple except that the chimney). In the right window of the second floor is mounted a red light-brick. It works by pressing a button on the back of the building, creating the effect of villainous processes in the room. All other standard windows are closed "jalousie", that would not pass light, deadly for vampires. Actually, the vampire pair itself is already arrived to the entrance on theirs carriage harnessed by two black horses. On each side of the house there are two enchanted trees, which frighten all uninvited guests. So, let's have a look: Victorian Haunted Mansion. 8. IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN AND WITH HALLOWEEN AROUND THE CORNER I WANTED TO HONOR THESE MONSTER MEMORIALS: 15TH: This year marks the 15th year since the Studios monster subtheme (called Scary Thriller and even Scary Monsters) made its debut, introducing Universal-style monsters. Although TLC had licenses on Universal Studios properties such as Jurassic Park and Steven Spielberg's name, one is led to believe that they did not have the Universal Studios Monsters license or, at least, were granted permission to make sets resembling this license. There were four sets and even at times these sets mixed monsters from other movies (like the 2017 edition of The Mummy with Tom Cruise). The main monsters represented were a Vampire, Werewolf, Frankenstein, and The Mummy, although these characters were more or less designed to be costumed actors on film sets. The sets, in many ways, closely resembled the Universal Studios monster films. Other monster mashups included a modified version of Dr Jeckyll/Mr Hyde as the Scientist in the Frankenstein set, the ghost costume and a female actress in the same set (I am guessing an homage to Phantom of the Opera) and The Hunchback in the Vampire set. Although not directly stated by his name, Van Helsing makes an appearance too in the Vampire set. 5th: This year marks the 5th year since the Monster Fighters line was released. Centered around the fictional steampunk culture, here, a gang of monster hunters must stop Lord Vampyre from eclipsing the sun forever. Many of the sets were different from actual sets in the movies but at times, especially with the Vampyre's castle, they had some similarities. Given the design of the vehicles one must wonder if the time period wasn't meant to be depression-era, especially since many monster movies were released around this time. The sets, in some ways like the Werewolf set, reused previous ideas from the original line. However, some sets did indeed create new editions of older sets and introduce new monster properties from which they were derived. I suggest the following: * Lord Vampyre's Castle - Dracula * Frankenstein - Frankenstein * The Mummy - A chariot, * Werewolf - The Wolf Man * Sea Creature - Creature from the Black Lagoon * Vampire Hearse / Coffin Car - Munsters Coach & Dragula. The driver had been called Renfield, Dracula's assistant, in the preliminary box displays, as well as Dracula being used for Dracula's Castle. * Vampire's Bride - A spin-off of Bride of Frankenstein mixed with Elvira * Haunted House - Munsters (the creator of the set was wearing a Munsters shirt during the reveal for this set) and some Addams Family influence since there was a Frankenstein's monster butler * The Zombies - White Zombie (it was supposed to feature the VoodDoo doctor) and of course was, after all, a zombie wedding in a graveyard * Ghost Train - I am guessing a very loose idea from the 1941 film by the same name * Spooky Boy & Spooky Girl - Although they came later, it's worth noting Spooky Boy is more like Pugsly Addams while Spooky Girl, which you would think is Wednesday Addams, reminded me more of Lydia from Beetlejuice due to her schoolgirl outfit * Tiger Woman - close to the 1944 film by the same name * Mr Good/Evil - A spinoff from Dr Jeckyll/Mr. Hyde * Grandfather clock - Any number of horror films, though Disney's Haunted Mansion ride stands out for me * The Fly/Scientist - obvious * Venus Flytraps (Scooby doo) - Little Shop of Horrors * Graveyard / Witch scenes - Wizard of Oz, Walking Dead * Most zombies are likely influenced by Walking Dead and the rise of the zombie movie craze around that time * One can't help to think if Mad Monster Party and Groovie Ghoulies helped to influence any of these sets and CMFs * Frankenrocker - I know the Beetlejuice show done this at Universal Studios Orlando but I can only find the frankenstein monster from Munsters playing the guitar Almost all of these comparisons to all the Monster properties mentioned are based on my observation since the only time we knew of TLC acknowledging their relation to existing monster movies was at an event where recording was prohibited during an advance presentation of the line.
  9. You thought the life of a young vampire was like Twilight? Think again. Happy Easter! -Cast- Ostea Latrodex - Audrey Bacon Edwin Stokes - Jack Rizzo Harvey - Bentley Michaels Check out the rest of Vampire Town series here! Just a very quick little Easter special, set in the Vampire Town universe. Quite happy with how this turned out, aside from the set (I was away from most of my Lego, so was very limited on bricks), and a few dodgy angles. But I'm happy I got this out on time, and there's more Vampire Town coming very very soon! The Fell Company of Nocturnus

The Fell Company is a bit of a misnomer, being but two warriors strong, but one that is carefully cultivated. Our story finds them leaving their Rakath Mountain hideout. A Knight in dull armour, astride a mighty black steed inclines his head towards the zombified squire next to him. "Come. It is time we find my son. We ride for Shadowmere." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm still alive, honest! C+C welcome.

  12. HALLOWEEN IS AROUND THE CORNER... AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? SPOOKY FUN FOR EVERYONE!!! Over the years I have taken my time to diligently archive many of the LEGO Halloween & Monster sets ever released. I have also made 2 videos: one outlining the history of Halloween sets released by TLC and another counting down the top 10 creepiest, spookiest, scariest, sets. Both videos come with bonus content. I understand the Halloween history one speeds too fast. If it gains traction I'll upload a slower version. You may access these cool videos and sites through the links found in my signature below. Please enjoy them and have a Happy Halloween!

Glad you could all join us. For those of you for whom this is your first time on a Quest I'll pop in with "QM Note's" every once in while to give you advice or guidance, otherwise the world is pretty free range. Most things included in the pictures are there for a purpose so don't feel afraid to interact with what you see. If you ever want to do something specifically make sure to bold it. Likewise important facts or questions will also be bolded throughout the quest. This quest was designed to be fairly straight forward and relatively short (maybe a month or so depending on activity level). The general rule of thumb is that I will update at a minimum of every 24 hours if not sooner, I expect the same from my players. If you need to take a leave of absence please state so in the quest or send me a private message. Important, if you have not posted in 72 hours and have not given any notice of your absence you will be dropped from the quest, there are of course exceptions, but generally such behavior is considered inconsiderate of both my time and the fellow players. If you have any out of character questions (OoC), please use the appropriate abbreviation or shade your comments. Please refrain from just posting OoC comments only posts unless absolutely necessary. Feel free to at any time send me a private message if you have any questions or post non-quest concerning talk in the discussion thread of this sub-forum. With that please confirm that your stats are correct and have fun and thanks for coming along on the adventure!
  14. Previous Chapter: The Kelra --- Next Chapter: Dubbed Captain (Warning, this chapter is long) Aeldric tread carefully and silently through the dark labyrinth. The thought that almost any of your nightmares existed in there lingered quite long in his mind. He took a gulp at each corner, dreading what may be beyond. He crept up to his hundredth corner, and peeked to the hallway. He saw a large figure. A large set of silver armor, with a blue mist emanating from inside it walked slowly with a huge sword dragging on the ground. He stepped on a small twig which snapped, and the armor turned towards Aeldric with a fury. Aeldric had no other choice but to assault it. He ran with the fury of a Minotaur. The possessed armor raised the huge sword with a single arm, which took Aeldric by surprise, and he nearly backed down, but with the resolve of a ranger, he kept on his fury. The armor ran back at him. Aeldric was nearly run over, but he jumped to the wall, and bounced off behind the armor. The suit turned around instantly, and began a heavy swing towards Aeldric. But the armor was not fast enough, for Aeldric had knocked the armor's helmet off with his sword. The helmet dropped to the ground and shattered, and the spirit possessing the armor fled from the suit. Now, to get out of the Kelra. [Later, after exiting the Kelra, and entering Nocturnus, Aeldric enters the large fortress of Axtrous the night lord...] Aeldric stepped forth, upon the grand rug which led to Axtrous' coffin throne. Two orc guards stood by, completely ignoring Aeldric. "I call upon the Night lord." Aeldric said, with a strange confidence. He jumped as the lid to the coffin jerked open as fast as lightning. "What brings you here, Aeldric son of Kaedric?" Axtrous said, with a dark, impending voice. He stood up out of his coffin. "I have come to avenge Aurthal and my family." Aeldric said. "Then let us fight like real men." Axtrous said. Aeldric threw his sword to the side, and rushed towards the vampire. As soon as Aeldric came close enough, Axtrous grabbed him by the neck and leg, and flipped him over himself and into his coffin. Aeldric then stumbled out of the sarcophagus and began a second rush at Axtrous. When he reached Axtrous, Aeldric only relieved a powerful punch to the chest, which sent him flying, and hitting the coffin. After he hit the coffin, Axtrous slowly approached. A black spear formed in his hand, and he prepared to sheath it in Aeldric's corpse. Aeldric quickly grabbed his sword by his side, stood up, and jabbed it up Axtrous' throat. He choked, as blood began to leak out of his skin pores. Aeldric shoved the sword further in, and the head came off, stuck to the blade. He reveled in his victory, and the two orcs fled out the fortress. Aeldric had left a nice present for Lord Raavage to find. ----- Ok guys, sorry about the poor quality of the second build. I really just didn't know what to put in a large throne room. Plus the freebuild is mainly focused on the Kelra. C & C Welcome! P.S. I would have put tiles down, if i had had enough.

    The Awakening - Part 2

Disclaimer: The following installment is very picture intensive. ME suggested i'd resize and link the bigger pictures, but it's over 40 pics, and well... I don't feel like it after a long workday, probably going to mess up... Other parts of our collab: On the Road to Shadowmere By MassEditor Old Friends By Lord Vladivus The Resistance Forms By MassEditor After reading The Resistance forms, i think The Awakening - Part 1 fits better after The resistance forms, even though it has been posted earlier. The following is part 2 of the awakening. Enjoy! Prologue After lord Mortis rudely entered Sonja's dream and warned her about the coming storm, sonja interupted her slumber that lasted multiple centuries. The next part of this story takes place in: In the cemetery of harbringer's haven stands the dark statue of Danag. He was the first vampire in nocturnus to realise that with building enough blood fountains, the need to drink from the living would become obsolete. Vampires and non-vampire beings could live together, benefitting from eachother instead of hunting and hating eachother. Danag gained quite a fortune in his long lasting life, mostly from building blood fountains in all of nocturnus and was always eager to share his wealth with the less fortunate. His offspring still help the needy as a tradition, and therefore danag's statue is somewhat used as a shrine honoring his, and his family's munificence. But danag also had a darker side... The scythe the statue bears was danag's tool to uphold justice.. Besides wise, generous and social, danag was also known and feared for his cruelty towards criminals. Children are still told the stories of Danag the reaper, coming at the houses of little kids that are up to no good in the middle of the night... When danag died, his remaining kin ordered the construction of a crypt befitting his achievements in his undead life. The crypt was expanded several times, untill it almost became a necropolis underground. It was also the wish of Danag to offer shelter to those who became weary of living a life eternal. Up top we find a vampyr guard securing the entrance... Suddenly the guard hears something... Very faint, but he notices it is originating from the vents underneath the statue... Guard Owen: Sounds like knocking... And it looks to me like the sound is coming from downstairs... I'd better check it out. Downstairs we find another guard, more or less off duty and enjoying the mead that the locals place at the shrine of danag... Guard Owen: Soran, i am hearing sounds coming from downstairs.. We'd better check it out. Guard Soran: *Hick!* Not my problem, you're the one on duty aand it's probably just somebody having a nightmare. *Hick!* Guard Owen: You know, you would do wise to cut down on your drinking... Guard Soran: Pff, i don't drink on duty and what i do in my free time is none of your buisness! *Hick!* Guard Owen realises he's not going to get any help from his fellow guard, so he ventures inside the crypt alone. Guard Owen: That good for nothing deat beat.... Guard Soran: I've heard that! Guard Owen: All quiet here... Must be one of the vampires deeper inside the crypt... As soon as Owen walks around the corner, he sees the lid of one of the coffins laying next to it. While opening the gate, Sonja pops up from her coffin, still in a very foul mood... (the reason why can be found in the previous part of this story) Sonja: You bloody *******! What in nocturnus name took you so long?! Guard Owen: Mi... Milady.. I was guarding outside.. I could only hear you very faint.. Before the guard can explain more, he is rudely cut off by Sonja.. Sonja: Then where is the other guard?! No matter, wake up the crypt! Light the torches! Start the fountain and make sure the vampyr guard is sent to the armory first, then everybody else! And while you're at it, get us some drinks from the fountain! Guard Owen: Yes Milady! Right away Milady! Owen rushes towards his colleage to tell him the news and thinking about the deep trouble they will be both in if sonja discovers that both guards have relaxed their working hours... They were both supposed to guard full time.. Sonja reaches for the pillow in her coffin, and finds the ring that Lord Mortis promised her would be there... Sonja: Well, well, well.. Looks like the old man was right! Time to wake up Darius and Quintella.. Meanwhile, guard Owen neared the guard room, and calls out to Soran. Guard Owen: Soran! Come here! Guard Soran: What is it now? Did you get scared by a little spider? Guard Owen: Put a sock in it, i've just got the order to awake the crypt and mobilise everybody, including you. The grin on Soran's face quickly faded, just as the tone of his skin. The cup he held was still half full, but he quickly threw it inside the lava pool underneath, causing a short puff of steam. Guard Soran: Oh no! I've been drinking... If they find out about our deal we are both toast! Guard Owen: Be cool, get rid of those cups and bottles, tidy up the place quick and light the torches. Just pray the oil and smoke will hide the smell on your breath a bit. I'll go and start the fountain, and get the remaining vampyr guard awake and geared up. In the meanwhile, make yourself rare. Owen runs back into the crypt to start up the fountain.. After pulling a lever, blood is starting to flow from the cup that the fountain's figure is holding.. After a while, there's a thump... and another.. Large stone covers are dropping out of the walls, and vampires emerge... Lured by the smell of fresh blood, more and more vampires are rising from their resting places... And feasting on this endless supply of blood, their first drink in centuries.. After the vampires had a drink, the vampyr guard is directing everybody to the armory to suit up.. It does not take long for the main hall in the crypt is starting to fill with armed vampires, not knowing why they are mobilised, rumors start to hum among the men.. Finally, Sonja appears on the balcony dressed in her battle armor... Sonja: Men, ladies.. You are probably wondering why your slumber has been disturbed and why you are now in battle dress... A storm is coming, and the time to just sit idle has passed! Lord Mortis came to me in my dreams, warning us of the danger that is called the black spire. He is now in shadowmere, forging an alliance with other forces and requested me to bring our covenant to that city. The men grow silent for a moment, then the rumoring starts again between the men.. why fight? we were sleeping peacefully... no need to go to war... Sonja: Men, i understand your feelings and i for one would have preferred we just rest forever more. But we as a group of vampires are posing a threat to the black spire, just because of our numbers and will either be taken out, or subjected. We have a choice now to be defiant, or to be slaves... What say you? Suddenly, a death knight approaches the balcony... His face shows age, and alot of battle scars.. He carries a large sword, weighed down with a gold bar.. Death Knight: We will definatly not be slaves, but if this is so important then why is Mortis not here himself to tell us this? Why should i take the story of a turned vampire girl for truth? If i recall correctly, you have no authority to lead these men, nor the authority to give orders either. If lord Mortis is not around here to lead us, someone second in command should be chosen. Sonja, still in a foul mood, is enraged by the words of this death knight... Sonja: You insolent swine! I should have you killed on the spot where you stand right now! Look at this ring, and look well before you say anything else! This is the ring of Danag, and it was granted to me by lord Mortis! That makes me second in command! Now bow, or prepare to die! Necromancer Quintella: Oh please stop this! There's no need for bloodshed among our own, if we are divided now, all is lost allready. Sonja speaks the truth, lord Mortis has also spoken to me in my dreams on this matter and she is now second in command. The decision was allready made before we went to rest in this crypt! Darius: Please listen to Quintella, she is wise and allknowing. Whatever lord Mortis had decided in the past, we should stick with it and be united as one! Sonja has moved down from the balcony, and gently moves Darius to the side.. Sonja: Well here it is, death knight... Either accept my leadership, or be cast out. Death Knight: Milady, i am loyal to the vampire covenant, lord Mortis and the bearer of Danag's ring. My undead life is yours to command. Death to the black spire! The death knight kneels before Sonja... Sonja: Rise, death knight! Your pride and defiance is admirable. I am honored to have you among the troops. Fight well, and i'll see to it your exploits will be rewarded. Guard! Send out a few men to the local village, and find some mounts to buy. Three minimum, but more would be best. Also buy some food, some of us might be hungry for more than just blood. And so, when the last light of the day fades, a small group of able men is running to the village of Harbringer's haven to aquire some mounts. Later that night, the necromancer is walking trough the cemetery... Quintella: Thank you for escorting this old lady, but there's really no need. The dead can't do much to me, but i can do alot to them.. The spell i'm about to perform is dangerous to the living, so you two better stand back a bit. Don't be afraid of what comes out of the ground, they are mine to control... The two guards stand down, and watch the necromancer walking further into the cemetery, the red gem on her staff is turning green with an ominous glow... Chanting incantations better not heard by the living, Quintella raises her staff, and taps it on the ground firmly. A loud thump is heard, not able to produce with a staff that size, and a green light is waving outwards on the ground... As the necromancer is walking away, a light rumble can be heard... Hands are starting to emerge out of the graves... Lured by the spell, the formerly dead start to walk towards the crypt... The following morning, we find Sonja at the shrine of Danag paying her respects and praying... Sonja: Danag, my lord.. Please keep us safe in the times that come. I have little to offer but my life, i would gladly give in return so that the others are safe. Please be with us. As Sonja is praying, the group that left last evening returns... Sonja: Ah, excellent! You found a warg! It's a shame it's not a white one, but it will do for now. Only three mounts? Swordsman: We are so terribly sorry milady! We have asked around all of harbringer's haven all evening and the early morning for mounts, but the people did not have many. These were the only ones we could find, and as soon as they saw the axeman's shield they would not take money for them either! They said we were children of Danag, and gave us their mounts. Sonja: They gave you these mounts? Danag be praised! Once we find other mounts to buy, see to it that these mounts are returned to their rightfull owners. It is the right thing to do. Order the men to assemble up top, we are leaving within the hour! Swordsman: Yes milady! And so, the vampire covenant starts to march towards Shadowmere... Darius: What a magnificent sight! Quintella: Indeed, but also saddening. Some of these fine men will not return. I hope the zombie troops will take the worst casualties, but the future is still unclear. Sonja: Let's hope we'll do good. For now, the path goes to shadowmere and not war... Yet. Additional pics: Troops 01 Troops 02 Troops 03 Front view Side view Left Side view Right Hi there! I'm terribly sorry for the vast amount of pictures, but it is quite a large build with quite a story, so i had to use more pictures than i would have liked. This is my biggest build to date, and took me about two months, multiple PAB and bricklink orders to complete. The top level is removable in 3 sections for ease of photography inside the crypt, and maybe some have noticed the improved photography.. (a.k.a. new digital camera) There were so many other pictures i would have liked to post, but including the linked pics, its 46 pictures allready! I also wanted to put an ending incorporating punishment for the two guards in here, but that would have taken another two or three pictures, and with the massive amount of pictures, i think it would be better to leave the guards fate to the readers inmagination. I hope you enjoyed the build and story, C&C welcomed, and also take the time to visit LV's and ME's builds!
  17. Halloween isn't popular in my country (but marketers are trying to change this). However, LEGO monsters are cute (or maybe they not?) and I built some vignettes with them. 18. Hi! This is the first MOC I post here. It's based on the Magic Box, a magic shop owned by Buffy's watcher in the TV show of the same name. A lot of people here are talented so I'm open to all comments (especially if they can improve my skills) and I hope you will like it! Presentation of the characters The shop (mostly accurate like in the TV show) Where Rupert hides the dangerous books about black magic and many others things. Cash register, Anya's favorite place in the shop. Statue on the shelf. Behind the stairs you can find masks but choose wisely, some of them are cursed. They all enjoy the shop. Rupert is drinking tea, Xander is eating Rupert's croissant, Anya counts the money and Willow is busy with the computer. But Buffy and Faith heard some weird noises outside... They were right. A vampire is waiting next to the backdoor, ready to drink fresh blood. Xander has tried to lock the door but he was not fast enough. Don't worry, Buffy and Faith will teach the vampire 2 or 3 fighting lessons. Meanwhile, a very special customer checks a new wand and Rupert has received a new book about witches and warlocks. 19. A couple of MOC sarcophagi, one more elaborate than the other. For whom could they be? But of course - bwahahahaha! - for Dracula and his lovely bride, Countess Dracula. But who's this? Could it be the steely vampire-hunter Abraham van Helsing? And here's what the above picture originally looked like when I took it in late Victorian times: Questions? Comments? Cloves of garlic?

Ch II - Prolouge - Black Crusade

...So you see, that is why the moon gets smaller and larger. Any more questions? Yes. Is it true that the Duke is a vampire?!? Hmm... I hadn't heard that. Tell me about it! Ok, here goes... As the civil war raged in Nocturnus, Cassius set out with a group of his most seasoned comrades. As they made their way to Abyssian, they were slowly picked off one by one, by the native tribes, hostile environment and rebel soldiers, until only the duke was left. Just when he thought all hope was lost, he came up over a ridge and there he saw it. A castle, black as night, jutting up out of the ruby sea that lat in front of him. He wasn't sure which side the mighty fortress was allied with, but he knew he had no other choice but to head towards it. Besides, they had most likely already spotted him. He paused, gathered his wits, and began the trek down to the gatehouse. When Cassius got there, he was greeted by an opening portcullis. He saw no guards, so he decided to head towards the tower. When he got to the door, it opened. Inside was a pale man, dressed in ruined court dress. Welcome to my tower. I am Lord Shirl. Come in. You must be tired. To this, Cassius replied, "Yes, and I am parched. May I please have something to drink?" Of course. Follow me. They soon arrived in a room overlooking the walls. In the center was a raised pedestal, with a plain stone cup of some strange liquid in it. Cassius suddenly realized it was blood. "I hope you don't mind, this is all I have. I'm sure you'll grow used to the taste... After all, I sure have." Cassius tried to run, but was frozen in place. The vampire lord picked up the chalice, tipped back the Avalonian's head, and poured the liquid down his throat. Cassius felt a sudden peace. All his worries and desires slipped away, like fog in the sun. Hssss he though, the sun. How he hated it. "There, isn't that better? Now, return to your pretty green country. Don't worry, thrall, your master will join you soon... And then, you will create any army for me, and I will rule again!" So there you have it. We're ruled by a vampire. That's just plain stupid. Heck, that's stupider than the myth that Mitgardian ladies have beards! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whew! Glad I got that posted. This challenge has been a blast to build for, and I really enjoyed it! I'd also like to claim the following: Forced perspective Roofing #1 C&c appreciated!
