  1. I've been working on this build since '7680 The Twilight' set came out in 2008. It started out as just modding the set to give it some interior, and slowly evolved with the continuous advances to LDD. Building this was the driving force behind designing my minifig scaled Delta-7, because I wanted to ensure that it would fit inside like in the show. I've gone through countless revisions to my design, even as far as starting from scratch at least 3 times. With every redesign came more research and I learned more and more about the design of this ship. I learned about a lot of things that never made it into the show. Things like that this ship actually has 3 levels to it, and that it uses an elevator to get between them. That they used 2 distinct 3D models of the ship and would switch between them during episodes, etc. It has been a long journey, but I'm finally happy enough with my design to share it. So into the details; Currently the ship sits at a total of 11,259pcs, measuring in at 102 studs (81.6cm) long by 132 studs (105.6cm) wide, by 37 studs (29.6cm) height (landed) or 84 studs (67.2cm) height (both outriggers extended). In other words, this thing is pretty big, still not as big as the Ghost, but it is the same length as the UCS Millenium Falcon. While I did find images and video of the majority of the interior I sacrificed a few of the unseen rooms in lieu of having more structure to hold the whole thing together. I did however keep all of the main areas, this includes the cockpit, cargo hold, connecting hallway and the boarding area. Comparing my build to the official Lego set. Here is a comparison between my Twilight, the UCS Millenium Falcon and my Ghost. As well as some comparisons with some of the official images that used to be on StarWars.com, I couldn't get the angles exactly right, but they're close enough to compare. And as a final note, I am currently in the process of building this monster, I have been slowly gathering pieces for the last few years, I have about 80% of the total pieces required, though I'm sure I'll have to make some modifications as I go. I will be posting updates as I go, but for now, here are my bins of parts, please forgive the unsorted disaster that they are currently in.
  2. New models will appear in the replies to this thread so keep an eye out! Models in this thread: 1. TWILIGHT 2. TRIDENT 3. BTL-B Y WING STARFIGHTER 4. HYENA DROID BOMBER 5. ARQUITENS-CLASS LIGHT CRUISER 6. CK-6 SWOOP "FREECO BIKE" 7. T-6 JEDI SHUTTLE 8. H-2 EXECUTIVE SHUTTLE 9. RX-200 ASSAULT "STUN" TANK 10. TURTLE TANKER (NEW) Hello again everyone After re-watching some of this prior to watching the new series I decided to go back and update some of my old Clone Wars models from a while back which were originally posted on the From Bricks to Bothans (FBTB) board. As I said these are not new models but have been updated for new parts which were not around when these were first built. The original versions of these were built way before the Planets Series so I have also had to buy the figures. The old versions can be found here (with some very bad and grainy photography!): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=140779 TWILIGHT First up we have the Twilight - The Twilight was a Corellian G9 Rigger-class light freighter owned and operated by the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, used the ship to escape from a battle on Teth. The original version was grey and sand blue but I decided to ditch the sand blue tints. I also updated the top cannon as the 1x1 brackets were not available when this was first built – just the neck bracket piece. I also wish they would bring the old fingered hinge plates back as I still have old grey ones for the bottom wing as they are the only piece that work so it can fold up properly. These are now rare but are very useful for mini builds as you do not have to add an extra layer of plates for imperial shuttle/Skyhopper (hint) wings for example. It shows my age that luckily I have a few of these lying around! TRIDENT Next up the Trident - the Trident-class assault ship, also known as the Trident assault ship, was a model of aquatic gunship manufactured by the Colicoid Creation Nest. They were used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. This one is so old the cheese slopes were not available when it was first built so I have used the cheese slopes to update the head to give it a more rounded appearance – previously this had a jumper plate and a tile where the cheese slopes are. I have also updated the “limbs” with the 1 x2 plates with handles and clips, replacing the old finger hinge plates and also added the tooth pieces and added the round tile for the cockpit. Those cone pieces are still not both available in normal red though so dark red it has to be! Meh. BTL-B Y-WING STARFIGHTER Thirdly we have the Republic version of the Y-Wing Starfighter. The BTL-B Y-wing starfighter was an assault starfighter/bomber that flew combat missions for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. This did not have a major overall – mainly new white pieces as the old ones had yellowed. I have added some of those curved 1 x2 slopes which weren’t around and a couple of the round plate with a bar which are very useful for cannons on minis! The shape of the nose has been built using the horizontal hinge plates instead of wedges so that is only 3 studs wide. HYENA DROID BOMBER Lastly, for this post, the Hyena Droid Bomber - the vulture droids big brother. These were droid starfighters manufactured by Baktoid Armor Workshop. They were designed for heavy ordnance bombing runs. Based on vulture droid designs, Hyena bombers had wider and sturdier hulls with huge wings to gain stability during flight. This one had the most drastic rebuild as I rebuilt the centre section completely. Instead of the 1x2 slopes with grilles I have used the new 1x2 curved slopes for the heads both on top and underneath. I also made the centre section a stud wider. Let me know what you think. More soon. Jon

    [MOC] The Twilight

Hello everyone, The Twilight is Anakin Skywalker's ship in the majority of the clone wars TV show and while it may not be the sleekest one out there it has always been one of my favourites. Unfortunately I missed out on the official Twilight set and since then I have always wanted to build it. I knew that I didn't have the pieces in my collection to build a minifigure scale version of the Twilight so I put the idea off until I got the A-Team LEGO Dimensions pack and I immediately saw that the piece used as the spoiler on the back of the van mini build would be perfect for a micro-scale Twilight build. That set the scale and then the rest of the ship followed. I am pretty happy with it overall and I think it captures the feel of the Twilight quite well. One part I am trying to work on is a new design for the main wing because I don't really like how thick it is on my model so any suggestions there would be much appreciated. (MOC) Malachor Sith Temple Duel

From Twilight of the Apprentice: Here's a *mini* playset inspired by the climatic duel at the Sith Temple on Malachor - only Vader and Ahsoka's part of the duel for this one. No Inquisitors or moving platforms. I only used spare bits and scraps from my depleted brick stock, so that's why the build is kinda small and not really accurate with the real exterior form of the temple. If I get more black slopes for the base I can probably finish it someday. For now, it gets a great Star Wars location represented on the shelf. The SW Rebels shelf: sadly lacking in location playsets. Sorry for the quality of these snaps, my lightbox is in the shop. ;) So we've got part of the base of the temple leading to the tip of the top where there is a bit of Tron-style redness. A couple of ground features: a rectangular slab and one of those petrified black figures. Would look nice with three or four more similar features surrounding the temple. The tip of the temple lifts off revealing a very small play area, only enough to fit (cram) Vader and Ahsoka in there. There's a little Sith holocron attached to a 2x2 plate with stud in the very middle. It's a free build. I wanted to keep the color scheme limited to match the temple from the episode. Just black, dark red and red with trans-red. I used a bit of purple for the ceiling of the top of the temple... in the episode there's this awesome purple glow that coats the room when the obelisk starts sparking up during the duel. However I'm not satisfied with the application of the trans-red features here and will be trying to re-jig those over time. Maybe there should be more grills and they should be placed in rows for maximum Sith-Tron effect. Maybe someday we will see a really intricate and huge MOC based on this temple with all the trap and stuff with Maul, moving platforms, etc. For now I just wanted a space to display Vader and Ahsoka together from (A-Wing vs Vader's TIE) together. I also really wanted to place the obelisk (which speaks to Ezra and Kanan) but it just wouldn't fit at this reduced scale. I did manage to get the Sith holocron in there, something for Ezra to take. TLG has poisoned me into adding the obligatory play features! Feedback of any kind for this little build is encouraged, but I've even more stoked to see someone else take a stab at this scene/playset. Since Rebels is ending Monday, now is a great time to pay tribute to a series that gave us some great new Star Wars builds to play with.
  5. You thought the life of a young vampire was like Twilight? Think again. Happy Easter! -Cast- Ostea Latrodex - Audrey Bacon Edwin Stokes - Jack Rizzo Harvey - Bentley Michaels Check out the rest of Vampire Town series here! Just a very quick little Easter special, set in the Vampire Town universe. Quite happy with how this turned out, aside from the set (I was away from most of my Lego, so was very limited on bricks), and a few dodgy angles. But I'm happy I got this out on time, and there's more Vampire Town coming very very soon!
