MOC/WIP Iskes Towage & Salvage Telstar build in scale 1:40

Dear friends, I got a new commission and is a tug again for the tug owner Iskes Towage & Salvage and is a EDDY design tug. The scale will be around the 1 to 40, with lighting and an open visible engineroom. This is again a strange tug with two bow's and two enginerooms, also the trusters on this ship stands on the front and end of her. I started on the superstructure and hope you will like again the WIP stages. Around 4 months ago I built alternative model of 42035 Mining Truck but I just found some spare time to take pictures, film and describe it. So, using only parts from one 42035 set (including spares) two models were created: single engine Airplane and Tug. In total I used 347 parts from original 364. Mostly long axles and connectors has left. AIRPLANE This one has been built first. First off when I saw tapered panels I thought – “they’ll fit perfectly as an airplane wings!”. So I had no doubts what kind of alternative I’d like to do. Alpha version was created in 3 evenings and didn’t differ that much from the final product but still many parts left, including 4 wheels. I thought that it’s too much waste of bricks and I have to think out something else, best if this “something” would fit existing model. And so, second model appeared - Airport Tug, but about it in a minute. Airplane consist of 208 elements. It has moving single piston engine and propeller at front. Movement comes from rear wheels which are made out of T16 entwined with a chain. Plane has also movable rear loading ramp and ruder. From visual site there are pair of landing lights and side exhaust. Cockpit and 4 windows for passengers were highlighted too. TUG As I mentioned earlier after building airplane lots of parts left and I’ve made second vehicle – tug. It consist of 139 parts and has 2 functions – driving and retracting rear tow bar with hitch. In this model you can detect 2 similarities to mining truck – front grill and steering system. As there were quite limited amount of bricks left, probably nothing better than this, which has been already made, was possible to create. As in original truck there is also HOG steering. Tow bar mounting point is exactly at the end of frame. To fold and unfold it there is T8 gearwheel placed just behind driving wheel. At its end there is a hitch for airplane front wheel that can moves freely in any direction. After hooking it up propeller doesn’t touch any part of tow bar. Thanks to short wheelbase and overall compact dimensions even with hooked up airplane, maneuverability is really good. Everything due to limited amount of bricks is outlined in shape of tug but whole construction is resistant for intensitive play. Unfortunately visual attractions and details almost doesn’t exist beside front grill, mentioned earlier, and headlights. Bearing in mind that there are only around 360 bricks to use I think that models are not that bad. Both of them had to go on compromise but more attention and parts I spent on airplane. VIDEO: INSTRUCTION: It is true that making instructions is not my strong point but this time due to fact that many of you has 42035 set, I decided to made a LDD model. You can download it along with automatically generated instruction by clicking: DOWNLOAD Before building note that LDD interpret "axles with stop" incorrectly, so it's sometimes impossible to place it like instruction suggest. [MOC] Goldhofer AST-1X 1360

Today, I would like to share my first creation on Eurobricks with you all. A model of a giant towbarless Pushback Tug. To be exact, the Goldhofer AST-1X 1360. The real vehicle can lift up the front landing gear of the biggest aircrafts. I tryed to build all the functions, how they are build in the real Goldhofer, especially with the rear steering. The model has 8 RC functions:- Front wheel drive (XL Motor)- Front wheel steering (M Motor) - Rear wheel steering (2x M Motor) -- I had to decide, whether I would like to have crab steering or steering with different wheel angles to allow smooth driving. In the end I've chosen the second option, because crab steering is still kind of possible.- Raise cabin (M Motor)- Pneumatic pump (L Motor)- Raise landing gear (L Motor)- Close lid (M Motor)- Fix landing gear (M Motor) Unfortunately, the model has some flaws. The cabin is lifted in a weird way, because of the battery box under it and I struggled with the lifting section. I had to use really strong clutch gears and worn out valves, and even with that, the valves didn't switch always. Also I had a problem with one of the pneumatic cylinders, the reason why I used two pumps. As a result I had to glue two 2L axle between the pumps to the red 1x2 thin liftarms because of the vibration. I was sick of searching for another solution . [MOC] Aircraft Super Towbarless Tug

Hi everyone, I’m please to introduce you my latest MOC, the Aircraft Super Tug, an attempt to make something inspired from the Goldhofer AST-1X 1360 used for moving biggest aircraft including A380 on airport platform. The MOC: [ All images are available on Flickr There is some basic function controlled through SBrick inside: Propulsion (1 PF XL) Steering (1 PF-M) through several mini linear actuator Catch the aircraft landing gear (1 PF-M): adaptable to different size of wheel Lift/down the aircraft (1 PF-M) through 2 linear actuators A video will explain better : There’s a lot of issues with the functions, the gears don’t engage properly so the truck is unable to move or turn under its own power. Not a great success so maybe I will restart this vehicle from zero one day to make a better version 2. Thank you for your time, best regards, -
Interview with international tug magazine Lekko

This weekend i found many copy's on my door mat from a interview last month i heaved with the international tug magazine LEKKO. Because this was not my first interview for a magazine, news site ore TV and heaved learned a lot from earlier experience that it's write more in my way, but the outcome is not writing exactly what i have told the interviewer. Still this is free promotion and i am proud that they ask me to stand with a 3 paged article.
