1. I've had a chance to play with a pre-release version of the BuWizz 3.0 and here's everything I found out about it. And yes, it's FAST.
2. I'm sure there are other people besides me who never tire of making LEGO RC boats :) So with these folks in mind, I've prepared a simple comparison and ranking of performance of various kinds of LEGO propellers in water. Of course, the downside of my test is that for simplicity all propellers are run at the same RPM, despite varying wildly in size. This is to see the differences with some common denominator, but in reality, since small propellers generate less drag and hence need less torque than the big ones, you can spin them much faster with the same motor. This is all a matter of playing around with a gear ratio. I could theoretically try and find the optimal gear ratio for each propeller for a given motor, but then the same motor probably wouldn't be best for all propellers, and besides in my experience propellers perform differently in clean tap water than they do in e.g. a lake.
3. This is a test mission for the work-in-progress Heroica 2.0, and is meant only for the six selected players to participate in. If you are curious about the game's development, have a suggestion for a rule change, or want to comment on the quest's progress, please visit the Heroica RPG 2.0 discussion thread. The events of this quest are, as of now, non-canon - any story content or lore seen may or may not be part of the final game. ------------- Untold ages ago, societies across the galaxy broke their terrestrial bonds, and took to the cosmos. Countless beings now wandered through space, seeking glory among the stars. Six such individuals were doing just that, united by a common employer, a common point of departure, and a common goal. Six agents of Heroica were on a ship from Heroica Station, en route to the planet Gnorra - in hopes of saving an egg of a critically endangered species. However, in a celestial sea dominated by speedy spacecraft and imposing dreadnoughts, the agents of Heroica found their current vessel to be a bit, ah... Humble. Humble was a good word for it. And so the (once bright emerald, but now more of a sandy green) Initium cruised through the depths of space, carrying the party of heroes-to-be towards their ultimate objective. It was a reliable enough vessel, fast enough to get to Gnorra in a reasonable time, but a bit sparse when it came to luxuries. The cramped bridge was a testament to that. Six chairs corresponded to the six people aboard, embarking on adventure. And those six individuals were: The Party: Igaz (Goliath) 300 Cycle, Male Undead Vitality: 7/7 Strength: 2 Skill: 2 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Athletics 1, Intimidation 1, Melee Weapons 2, Short Range Weapons 1 Credits: 10 Equipment: Standard Vibrolance (+1, Melee Kinetic Weapon), Standard Plate Armor (+1 Kinetic Armor) Inventory: Shield Booster Kleeck (KotZ) 35 cycle old, male Ornithun Vitality: 5/5 Strength: 1 Skill: 2 Smarts: 2 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Persuasion 2, Culture 1, Short Range Weapons 1, Insight 2, Deception 1 Credits: 60 Equipment: Standard Plasma Blaster (+1, Short Range Energy Weapon), Translator Cube Inventory: Ensonvilterayquis (Enson) (Lord Duvors) 60 cycle old, Male Quo’ri Vitality: 6/6 Strength: 2 Skill: 2 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 2 Proficiencies: Melee Weapons 2, Medicine 1, Religion 2 Credits: 10 Equipment: Standard Void Star Hammer (+1, Melee Elemental Weapon) Inventory: Nanite Filter, Plasma Potion Dunola (Kintobor) 125 cycle old, Female Dwarf Vitality: 5/5 Strength: 1 Skill: 1 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 3 Proficiencies: Arcana 3, Culture 1, Short Range Weapons 1, Engineering 1 Credits: 10 Equipment: Standard Flame Thrower (+1, Short Range Elemental Weapon), Holo-Scroll Inventory: Energy Cell Tester-Three (samurai-turtle) One Cycle Old, Genderless, War Bot {Robotic} Vitality: 6/6 Strength: 2 Skill: 1 Smarts: 2 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Technology 2, Long Range Weapons 2, Piloting 1, Perception 1, Engineering 1, Credits: 10 Equipment: Standard Arm Cannon (+1, Long Range Energy Weapon), Standard Metallic Exoskeleton (+1 Kinetic Armor) Inventory: Shield Booster Yelana Fennix (Classic_Spaceman) Unknown Age Human Female Vitality: 6/6 Strength: 2 Skill: 2 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Deception 2, Long Range Weapons 2, Technology 2 Credits: 10 Equipment: Dual-Mode Sniper Rifle E (+1, Long-Range Energy Weapon), Dual-Mode Sniper Rifle K (+1, Long-Range Kinetic Weapon) Inventory: Cloaking Generator, Hacking Chip ----- Truth be told, it wasn't all so bad - although their six seats were packed together like sardines, there was not that much need to linger on the bridge for too long. After all, one of Heroica's many trusty nav droids was at the helm, operating the trio of control panels at his mechanical fingertips with programmed precision. The lack of warning sirens, space turbulence, loud noises, and flashing lights was a testament to their current pilot's expertise. "Let's see... All systems green... Fuel deposits plentiful... Wings stable... Destination will be reached in two hours... Feel like I'm forgetting something... Landing gear! When the time comes, which one of these operates the landing gear..." A consummate professional, down to his circuits. He soon turns to face his passengers as the Initium chugs along. "Ah, never mind that. Welcome aboard, Agents of Heroica!" Mission Master Note: Hello and welcome to Mission Zero, everybody! The six of you ( @Kintobor, @samurai-turtle, @Classic_Spaceman, @Goliath, @KotZ, @Lord Duvors) have 24 - 36 hours to confirm participation. Settle in, get roleplaying, and get ready for the ride.
4. Dear all, Can I ask you to try filling out the new adventure form and give any feedback or questions you may have here? Help much appreciated! Note: Please fill in "Test" under "mission name". Form Adventure rules Thank you in advance. /Bregir
5. The new rocket launcher tank is undergoing tests. For so, and in a combined exercise with SkyPie, who will check the accuracy of the new system, a test has been scheduled. Here is a fight practice video that we did the other day, enjoy!
7. Now that I have the GoPro 5 camera which can record speed on video, I wanted to use it for comparing how various power supply options affect speed of LEGO motors: old PF battery box, new PF battery box, V1 and V2 PF receivers, SBrick and BuWizz. Various AA batteries, too. However, in the imperfect conditions I was running my tests in, all results came out pretty close. I admit that this test could have been conducted in a better way.
8. Hi guys, can I damage PF Servo motor if I will force to turn it only 45° as you can see it on image bellow? Green axle will be connected to servo that will be fixed to red part:
9. This is my first try custom AR (Argument Reality) model. Using Minecraft brick for Mecabrick to test (This brick design have bug). It would be nice if LDD or any Lego CAD have AR feature.
10. My first time not mine MOC review. As fan of 4x4 cars I can't miss oportunity to build this MOC by Sheepo. It is not huge like other Fernando's MOC's. So I am in! I decided to do it with shortest and smallest version (I am lazy and busy simultaneously) - 90 inch version. I split my review to 5 parts - 5 separate videos with comments, close ups and so on, cons&pros. Turn on youtube subtitles - they are english! If you are busy to watch all 5 episodes, I advice you to watch the last - 5th epsiode. I will start from it right now. Epsiode 5. This shoud be in the end of the post, but I am afraid you can't go till the end. My vision of Defender: Ultimate offroad machine, well result is not ultimate, but at least looking like that (I hope). I have to solve some weak points of original MOC. Model lost some its pros: gearbox and realistic axles. I have to reinforce chassis and transmission for high load purpose and increased weight of detailed model. Unfortunately, cant make Land Rover unkillable as my Toyota FJ. But result is lovely, Defender will take its place on my "untoucable" shelve with mechanical MAP chassis. many photos of this version is here You shoud know, that MAP - is modular all-terrain platform. And all LR body verison based on this customizable modular chassis. Episode 1 is about chassis Then I have built Defender 90 body in yellow color. Almost STOCK. More photos. I have too much of this color, and construction machines - is not about me. So this LR is good oportunity to use all yellow parts for Camel Trophy style MOC. Episode 2 is about Defender body and small modifications I did with it. Episode 3 is about outdoor test drive. Then my viewers ask me to compare LR with its all-time real competitor - Toyota Land Cruiser. I have several ready to go Land Cruisers on my shelve. So, that was easy for me. But it was not easy to compare this MOC's, since they are completely different inside... Check my episode 4 "DEF vs LC" all photos can be found here
11. Hi all! In June 2014 we made a little trip to test an off road RC track, thanks for it to the Home-Road R/C Team. It wasn't a race, just a test. Pictures can be found here: https://www.dropbox....palya-teszt.rar Video: download link: https://www.dropbox....t-kis-meret.mp4 I recommend the end part from 28:00 to 29:00, some interesting and funny moments can be seen. We used two crawlers, a 6x6 test chassis, and two trial trucks. I hope we can use the track in the future, a cooperation with the RC team is in process. If we had more time, the video would be better, but because it was together with the RC team, we had limited time before their race. The main test vehicle was a crawler, has also topic here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=97878 Hope you like it. Feel free to ask or comment.

13. This was made in about a week, just testing out some new green screens and mouth animation. It's a LEGOfied version of the Star Wars Blu Ray trailer from awhile back.
14. Ladies and Gents, here is my first PIrate Brickfilm in 5 years! ( wow, that long already?!) It's only a test really, but i'll be making another 10-20 seconds each weekend from now on until I get bored and decide to start a bigger project Brickfilm ( I already have the idea in my head, basing it off the Lego Pirate comic) Anyways, without further ado, here it is! Please tell me what you think and what I could improve on it. Getting a new camera is not really an option at the moment, so excuse the camera quality :p EDIT: Dagnabbit,,, I posted it to the wrong place >< could an administrator please fix this? sorry...
15. Hello everyone! As you know I started making lego videos and today I tried to do a stop motion test. It's not very good, and unfortunately it's not panoramic, (in my future videos I will try to make panoramic brickfilms, I only have to change resolution of camera screen to 16:9) but I think it's ok for the first time. What do you think? Music in the video is from The Testament of Sherlock Holmes video game. Watch in HD! And sorry for my voice, it was morning when I was making it and my voice was... you know
