  1. The third time is the charm, right? Or maybe the fourth. Either way, the Weelond Regimentals will enter the BoBS football tournament for the fourth time, hoping to make the championship game for the third time in a row, but with a new outcome. The Regimentals first appearance in the tournament (in 617) was a last-minute affair aided by geography: all the players were currently on military duty on Isla de Victoria at the conclusion of the Eslando-Mardierian conflict when the nearby city of Trador announced the first tournament. That Weelond team was eliminated at the end of group play, but the team bond was formed. When the next year’s tournament was held in Bastion, the Weelond Regimentals were practiced and prepared, advancing to the finals, but fell to the Red Rogues of Mesabi Landing. But at least they put out an interesting charity calendar. In 619 the Regimentals again made the championship game and looked to have it won in overtime, but a goal in injury time tied the game at the last possible moment, and Weelond ultimately lost on penalty kicks to Team E from Eltina. In 620 hostilities finally broke out on Terraversa, and the Weelond Regimentals found themselves with muskets and backpacks in another war zone, shipped to Pamu. But they saw no fighting, and continued to play football when they could to stay in game shape as the negotiations dragged on through 621. Now Weelond is ready to take the championship in 622. Front row (sitting): Fangio, Victor Rey, Mauricio Montoya, Jan Slegers. Back row (standing): Pedro "Pegleg" Piccio, Luis Fernandez, Lorenzo ('Renzo) Miranda, Cuju Tsu-chu, Gijs Reyngout, Robino "Nino" Grijszon, Raul Baracca. On the crossbar: Patch Verlander, Monkey. The team has retooled slightly. Fangio and Victor have switched positions between forward and midfield, and Nino "The Boy Wonder" and Gijs Reyngout have swapped between defense and midfield, giving the Regimentals a very different look in the transition game. Nino is fully recovered from his leg injury and has really upped his game. Meanwhile, Alberto Verde has been replaced on the team by 'Renzo Miranda. But the constant is Patch Verlander, an old-school (loud, foul-mouthed) coach who believes “If you can kick a pineapple, you can kick a ball!” Between his aggressive tendencies and Monkey’s astute game-planning, Weelond believes an offensive style will lead to victory this year. More on the team here: And a few more tidbits: All C&C welcome.

    [IDEAS] [MOC] multi sports set

This is my first LEGO Ideas contest submission. The field is modular so you can I hope you'll love it, and will vote for it if you like it. Thanks! https://ideas.lego.com/s/ca:68a77abdd25247acb9f590a999774b55
  3. Hi everyone, this is my first MOC and I am new here and I make Mosaics! Here we have the Liverpool logo, it comes on with a custom-built 64x115x1 stud plate. It is approximately 51cm wide and 92 cm long and 0.5cm high. For the base, I have uploaded an LXF file to build the base only and the instructions there are accurate. For future models especially premium ones, all the instructions will be in PDF form. Enjoy please give me feedback on the instructions and the actual model. Happy Building Please can a moderator put this discussion on the front page?
  4. Of all the islands in the wild Sea of Thieves, the Nest of Thieves was the wildest. Scum from across nations came with their loot to the free port of Bastion and they often spended it the same nights in the taverns and houses of pleasure. Due to this, children born in Bastion did not have a father nor solid family and ended up on the street. Moredechai Fraunces the IVth was an old Sea Rat who never had time to settle down. Only now at the age of 77 his hands became to weak to climb the rigging and he choose to spend his last years in the port which came closest to a home for him. He now spends most of his days training the offspring of pirates, traders and rebels who left Bastion long ago. They trained hard for the BTSC. The black bandana's is the trademark of this young and energetic team! On this photo we are the team after a training on one of the hidden beaches east of the town.

  7. Who else here played the older LEGO games? For example LEGO Island, Racers, Soccer Mania, etc. Well I recently just got Island 2 on the ps1 in the mail and Ive been replaying them and Ive had a blast of nostalgia. I wish LEGO would remake some of these or at least bring back some of the ideas presented in them.

When he saw playing some MAESTRO soldiers soccer at their camp in Malto, he had the genius idea to organise: The New Terra Soccer Cup, the first soccer tournament in the new world! Soccer is a very popular sport for soldiers who had to kill time while on duty and many of those soldiers are starting to mis the little competitions they held. Lord Maximilian Damaximus started building a playing field just outside the walls of Trador, accompanied with a small tribune. Everyone is welcome! Every settlement, captain, organisation, militia, crew, ... can send a squad to Trador to participate in this wonderfull Soccer tournament! --- Gamerules & information --- Feel free to ask if there are more questions or remarks! 9. Trador is not only known for its applecider, it has also some of the best wines of New Terra: the Casa De Flores, famous for its unique aroma. The vineyard is a very popular attraction in Trador as visitors can follow a guide around the vineyard and drink some wine afterwards. Today, the soccer Teams of Prio, Royal Garvey Engineers and MAESTRO Engineers are visiting the vineyard. Meanwhile Lord Maximilian Damaximus and his wife taste the latest production of the wine. --- Thanks for watching! C&C welcome :) Will be licenced as a Large plantation This module is to be placed behind the Trador Merchant Quay (pictures of this somewhere in the future :p )
  10. Willem Guilder had hoped to return to Weelond after the Malto peace talks were concluded, but he found that activity on Isla de Victoria and the surrounding islands kept requiring his attention. Among those activities was the inaugural New Terra Soccer Cup on Trador. Guilder recruited the best soccer players he could find from the ranks of the Weelond regiment stationed on Isla de Victoria, and he sent word back to Weelond for legendary coach Patch Verlander to meet him in Trador. When Patch finally arrived (and Guilder was fortunate that the entry deadline had been delayed, or else Patch wouldn't have made it), Guilder gathered the team in the Green Door Pub and introduced them to their coach. Ol' Patch had some interesting coaching theories, including practicing with a pineapple instead of a soccer ball ("If you can kick a pineapple, you can kick a soccer ball!") and throwing broken bottles at players to keep them on their toes. The team doesn't look so sure about their coach's methods, but they're ready to compete in the Soccer Cup! --- Will be licensed as a small artisan. All C&C welcome.
  11. The western nations were not the only people sending teams to the Trador Soccer Tournament. The Onondaga people of Lacryma have played a foot and ball game for centuries. The rules may be a bit different from the soccer games the WETEC has known, but once they understood that they didn't get to keep the losing team, the learning curve shortened significantly. (Though they seemed saddened about that fact.) Their ball also tended to weigh more than the ones in use in Trador. However, the WETEC felt that it would go far toward national relations if all nations had the opportunity to be represented at the tournament. Thus they graciously gave the Onondaga transportation with the WETEC soldiers upon the Alexander. There was some difficulty once in Trador in convincing the Onondaga players to sleep on the beds. They seemed to prefer their blankets on the floor. Though the youngest did find the bed a novelty to sit upon. Note: I wanted to bring the Onondaga to the tournament, but was short on time to do so. The extension gave me a chance to combine that with my desire to try out some new furniture improvements. The blankets were just a fun addition at the very end.
  12. Arthur Kellogg has put together some of the WETEC's best soccer players to enter into the New Terra Soccer Cup. Granted there are not a lot of soccer players among the WETEC as a new sport is taking hold, but there are still several. Thus he feels that he has put together a good enough team to make the WETEC proud. As they wait for the games to start, Arthur and several of the players decided to go see one of Trador's schools as all good Corrington minifigs would love to do. Education after all is the most paramount issue. Upon following the directions they received from the perplexed innkeeper, they have arrived at the school building at the end of a street of buildings. They were a little surprised to see the one of the pupils on recess busy selling candy for a profit. As the captain of the team noted, "The Eslandola spirit must be born into them. They do indeed start young." A little different angle: Note: This is licensed as a small education building. I attempted to mimic the style presented on the Merchant's Quay, which is why I left the roof studs exposed and only why one side of the building is visible. (The other side would be connected to an adjoining building.)
  13. Location: Trabor Type: ????? The rowboat landed hard on the beach of Trador. "Why are we doing this again?" Asked WTC marine Sally "So that Count Mesabi can prove the WTC's Prowess in soccer as well as in commerce." Answered Joe, the one eyed Marine Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr Slowly, the WTC marines disembarked, Walking their way up to the beacon house The Customs officer greeted them. "You here for the football cup?" "No, we're here for the soccer cup." Said Biff, the squad leader "The what?" The Customs officer seemed confused. "Can we just kill him?"Asked Sally "Then we'd be disqualified. You read the rules. Murder is only allowed if their is a dispute over betting." Said Joe Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr Several marines groaned. They walked through the customs house and lined up, ready for the big game. Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr From right to left: Jackie, Joe, Sally, Kruschev, and Biff FIN Thanks for viewing my build. This concludes things for august. I'm not sure what to license this as, It's kinda a lighthouse, kinda a customs house. So, please let me know. This is my first build from my dorm, with what scraps I dragged with me, so the quality all around isn't great. C&C appreciated, and I'm glad to have participated in this challenge. More Pictures

  15. Hello everyone... per an article I read a few weeks ago, the German National Football Team minifigures are going to be released on May 14th... that is just a few days away from today... for those AFOLs who have no access to buying directly in stores that are across the pond or next to the border of Germany, how would you go about acquiring a complete set?... I want to avoid eBay if at all possible, so any AFOLs out there willing to help those of us who are stuck?... (not sure if there has been a discussion devoted to this - my apologies if there is already)
  16. Hello everybody After seeing that fantastic Iron Builder MOC from Legopard ( https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ ), I decided to make something similar. Due to the fact I love playing Tabletop Football, I tried to make an Lego Lord of the Rings themed version. Lord of the Rings Tabletop Football by Balbo ., auf Flickr It works quite ok (so it´s possible to play with it), but the bar construction with the 1x1 bricks and the Lego 4L bars (they are inside the 1x1 bricks) isn´t perfect, especially when playing a real game because sometimes the bar construction can break. But I´m planing on updating the MOC with a new and more stable construction for the bars in the future Thanks for watching

    Football shirts

Hi, I've been a Villa fan for nearly a decade, been through glory times and really tough times. I've always wanted to do this, so recently, I've combined my love for Aston Villa with Lego, and made some new designs for other teams too. Hey? Any Villa fan in here? To start off with, of course: I've done, in total 4 designs, an Aston Villa 13/14 home shirt, England 2014 world cup home shirt (men and women), and Arsenal 15/16 home shirt. I haven't figured out how to make the 15/16 Villa shirt, so it's still in experimental process, as for why I chose the 13/14 one, but not 14/15 one or earlier. It's because this is the design I like most in recent years. One other thing I did was the Acrons logo, I prefer not to help the betting company to advertise, and I've always wanted to help promote the local hospice. Ever since I did a year of volunteering in a hospice, I've always had many respect with the place, and wanted to help promote this practice. And of course, Acrons is the main charity sponsored and promoted by Aston Villa, as all fans know. So move on to the 3 Lions (England) shirts. It's a hard design, as all things are white. But I've managed to make one for my gf and one each for Gerrard and Rooney. And as all who follow English football knows what Gerrard is famous for.... XD Rooney: You do not flipping slip!!! You do not Flipping SLIP!!!!! Gerrard and Rooney discussing how to take the free kick. He is also famous for being a very efficient person, and can get done by 38 seconds  I meant to do Arsenal players, as I was going to make one for Sanchez, but I ran out of white legs, so they became the top-4 glory hunters (Arsenal fans).... with selfie sticks!! I really think they should be banned in the stadium... don't you agree? The guy can't resist to take a selfie while being chased by a maniac (me) OMG Rooney got into the act! Thanks for reading, tell me what you think :)
